  1. Up for sale are 2 LAI lowboy cabinet shells. The one on the left has everything except the perspex to hold the artwork. The base which was rotting has been been replaced by me with a new mdf one. I still have the original mitsubishi monitor for this which needs a new chassis. The machine on the right has no base, no front door or back and is incomplete. I have cnc machined 3 mdf control panels to accept zippy/sanwa joysticks and buttons which fit nicely into both cabinets. The plywood on both machines is in good condition. I'm asking for $450. Pickup from 4034 Queensland.
  2. It might help to maybe find someone who ran the mana bar here in brisbane and ask why they shut down. Not being negative but there may be a lot to learn from pitfalls of a business like this. And Hipsters are a fickle and pretentious bunch. Maybe survey some of your target market to see who will come in and open there wallets. You dont want a generation of lazy know it alls walking past classic machines saying , "man i have that on my iphone with touch controls".
  3. I have a mint unused PS3 Twisted Metal in exchange for your GTA.
  4. I'd like to trade your ultimate alliance PS3 for a copy of soul calibur IV on 360. Case and disk are nice and clean.
  5. I have 2 square pieces of tinted glass. One is 500mm x 500mm x 5mm. Other is 500mm x 500mm x 3mm. Both were taken from Associated Leisure lowboy cabinets (LAI styled clones). Asking for $20 for both. Pickup from Brisbane northside.

  7. I remember using a vga box with the dreamcast to connect it to a massive Sony CRT i got given from work. Soul Calibur and Powerstone 2 as well as Cannon Spike at 480p made my jaw drop.
  8. Naomi/Dreamcast polygon games were 640 x 480 on a VGA screen I think.
  9. Hi gents, I'm building a groovymame box running xp on an old Sempron CPU and M/B. It seems to run CPS1 and CPS2 games nicely using a Radeon 9250 so I'm thinking of using it with MALA in my cabinet. Is there a quick way to grab all the roms by system, out of a full mame set. The machine will have CPS1, CPS2 and Neo Geo games in the future. Or do I need to do it manually file by file. Any help would be much appreciated. VN.
  10. Wash your mouth out man. You replace a sanwa or seimitsu microswitch out with a zippy one and go play a game of SF4 or Mortal Kombat at a comp. Actually screw that, just swap out from a seimitsu to a chinese microswitch on a cave shoot em up. 30 years in the "industry" and you make an ignorant comment like that. That's average man. Had you made this comment over on SRK or Shmups forums, you would have had a new internet asshole ripped and all 30 years worth of bullshit would have spilled out.
  11. Its all subjective isn't it? Inside a cabinet, for 15khz, it would have to be a nanao monitor in the various sega cabs like astro city, blast city etc. Best visuals and geometry I've ever seen on a large curved tube. Outside of a cabinet, Nothing would come close to a Sony PVM or BVM series broadcast monitors with RGB. Or one of the earlier german tv sets when they were made in Germany. On the cheaper side, I've paid $50 for a small commodore monitor and the picture was mint. I've noticed as the screen size goes down, more pixels in a small area, picture has less geometry issues around the corners and games look less like pixellated games and more like your playing an animation. I love playing Marvel vs Capcom on my small screen as it looks like a comic book/cartoon at times. There is a crt monitor out there for every occasion.
