  1. ahhh, all good here, just got the heads up that a new playfield plastics set has been ordered, so thanks anyway @Gemini2544 and go for it @iseefreely
  2. I think you'll see they are 22uF electrolytic capacitors in series with a 100 ohm resistor. These are for your special solenoids. Element14, free shipping over $50- MAL203036229E3 - Vishay - Electrolytic Capacitor, 22 µF, 25 V (element14.com)
  3. cool man, my pleasure.....depending on how much you want to spend, there are self healing acrylics that are tough as, but start at about $100- a metre.
  4. I use a similar to the following: Find a local distributor of self-adhesive vinyl and tell them your needs and see if they will give you sample sheets, usually A4, that should help. Taking into account what finish you want, gloss, matte etc. and the strength of the adhesive.......you don't want to go to replace a piece and it pulls off your artwork, but you also want it strong enough that it doesn't fall off after a few resets and hits of the ball.
  5. Looking for a decent playfield, elevator housing, ideally a complete plastic set, if you have any DM parts that you'd consider selling please let me know, almost anything considered. Don't need any circuit boards, translite, flipper assemblies, transformer, door or small parts that will be bought new like rubber set, pop bumper caps, flipper buttons, bump targets etc. I've seen the tip top plastic ramps at RTBB and various parts at PSPA, but a last resort would be buying brand new. Messaged a seller in Croatia with a too good to be true used playfield.......reply was to pay on pick up, HA! Cheers!
  6. and don't forget the flipper coil wrappers AQ 25-500/34-4500 not a nightmare, when it's all done you'll look back and hopefully be satisfied that all that extra work was worth it and she'll look stunning ?
  7. just an observation, but all the coil wrappers are AN-26-1200 ?
  8. not really answering your question, so when you insert coin/coins or close microswitch in either coin chute, you're not hearing the chimes?
  9. here's a varistor 275VAC 2500A Metal Oxide Varistor (MOV) | Jaycar Electronics yes the black thing is your fuse holder, you may have to push down and twist? and as suggested replace the noise filter. the part number for your mains noise filter is on the top left, starting with the 5V
  10. yeah they're the ones, same on Fathom that are blue, but I want red. Thanks anyway. I think I'll be using the ones with lines underneath.
  11. I did try RTBB and saw 4 options, all opaque.......maybe I need to redefine my search? so tried 'transparent' and got stacks of results, but the 1 1/2" lane guides have the lines underneath.
  12. As simple as I assumed it would be to find these in Oz, I cannot. I'm after 5 of the transparent red that DON'T have any of the grainy effect on the underside. I saw them advertised and bought 20, only to receive the grainy/textured ones. The original red are a nice clear red that IMO look better and are what I'm after. They are an inch and a half from hole to hole, and double sided. If by chance anyone has 5 or possibly 10 they have and would consider selling, please send me a PM. .
  13. @Pinoffski is this board still available, missed the ad way back, and although @Azure is keen, if it falls through I'm keen 🙂
  14. The cabinet and backbox were restored by Scott at AIM, the playfield was clear coated, all mechs underneath were stripped and rebuilt, the wiring was cleaned, new drop targets etc, pretty much whatever could be replaced with new was, and I imagine she plays like she looks, that being new. GLWS
  15. not sure if my reply is going to help, but if your wanting to identify coils that are DC powered, look for a bridge rectifier and diodes on coils. i've seen flippers for Williams and Gottlieb powered by DC.
  16. this has already been mentioned by @wiredoug but Bally did make this quite simple. your current transformer will have lugs 1 & 3 and 9 & 11 strapped/tied together OR 1 & 3 and 5 & 7 tied together depending on the line voltage it was set up for. for 240VAC input you need to remove the current joiners on the transformer and then tie 3 to 5 and apply the mains to lugs 1 and 7, and as mentioned, change the lead, MOV, and line filter. @Josh Cohen maybe post some clear pics of how your transformer is now?
  17. still keen, am posting this listing on behalf of a mate who needs them.
  18. These were never remade unfortunately, so if anyone has 1, 2 or a set of these I'd be keen to buy it/them. Only need 1 but would buy whatever you have, ideally a set so the colours, embossing and paint are the same.
  19. Sorry for the blurry pic, but am needing 4 but essentially 2 of the Bally mini posts that are on Evel Knievel. And now using Windows 11 can't work out how to auto correct the pic, so it's upside down....even if i rotate the pic and save it upside down thinking it will load correctly, well nope. If you have any to sell, please send me a message. Cheers!
  20. Thanks @Boots, I rarely check Gumtree but have sent a message. Nice of you to remember and place the post. Cheers, Rich.
  21. so rereading..... you have removed the transformer and rec board assembly ? and only 1 AC voltage across lugs 8 & 10, that being 5VAC ? do you have a variac or are you able to supply mains power to pins 6 & 7 on J2 only ? so no fuses went open? F6 maybe? also check your line filter for any internal shorts, but if that was the case I would assume F6 would have gone open. you can try powering up without the line filter
  22. With your meter on AC, test across transformer solder tabs for correct output of AC prior to connection to rectifier board. I'd remove any fuses so there aren't any circuits.
