  1. Yeah that's the case unless you have an early firmware. I now understand based on asking on arcade-projects that it works from 3.01 upwards (not 3.03 upwards as indicated in the forum posts that explain how to do it all). So, I'm pizza pockets; makes sense since my machines are Naomi 2's and both came with the netdimms installed.
  2. So does that mean it's not possible at all if it's earlier than 3.03? Or does it mean I need to send off to darksoft or whoever to upgrade it? Final edit: My netdimms came from Naomi 2's that were running initial D (unsure which version). Does anyone know whether this would help determine what the firmware is without booting (I'm waiting on a JVS adapter for my cabinet)? I can't find a list of games that included netdimm firmware updates.
  3. Hi Is there anyone here who has the materials necessary to upgrade a netdimm to 4.02? I don't really want to send my netdimm overseas. Cheers
  4. Good point not sure why I didn't look there first
  5. I hope this topic is allowed... I've bought a cps3 but it came without a SCSI CD ROM. I'm getting a couple of them but I also need the game disc. I have the case it came in and all of the manuals etc, but no CD.. I understand that there are numerous different versions of each CPS 3 CD-ROM. Does anyone know where to look? Cheers
  6. Thanks for the above. I used goof off in the end and it worked pretty well. I then proceeded to **** up vinyl on the cp when installing it and didn't realise until I'd put it all back together.
  7. Hi I'm in the market for a SCSI cdrom if anyone happens to have one laying around. Obviously as fast as possible. Cheers Tom
  8. If anyone is interested in getting cabinets from Yaton - anything at all, including more recent cabs like Vewlix etc - please PM me. There's a few of us now. It's not certain what port the cabs would come in to, but suffice to say that the prices are likely to be lower than local prices and we're likely to be able to get cabs we actually want. Obviously, can't promise what he can source.
  9. Thanks for all the feedback. Will try them in reverse order until fixed!
  10. Hi Searched but couldn't find an answer to this, so thought I'd rely on the collective wisdom. I've just remove an old super neo CPO that was damaged and it has left ungodly 30 year old glue on the control panel itself. What's the best product for removing glue? I only have something that I bought at the supermarket for cleaning the fridge or something.. Orange something... It doesn't work very well. Cheers
  11. You can definitely guard yourself when buying .com domains. I've tried to tried sue people in relation to .com websites and it is really difficult to achieve from Australia. The starting point of all hosting companies is 'get rekt' and they're pretty immune to being told that they're breaking. It's a lot like the vpn market. Find you low down dodgiest company that is most hostile to law enforcement and then use them lol.
  12. I think I have a fairly accurate picture of costs now - both from Yaton and from other sources as well. I'll pm people who are interested what my estimates are. NNC is probably a possibility btw - if we go Yaton then it's basically whatever he can get right? Seems he has most cabs at some point. I'm in Adelaide, but would propose we send all cabs to one location with everyone paying a proportion of total transit costs. So, if most people are in Melbourne, we send them there, but Melbourne members also pay a contribution towards total shipping. Is that fair? I dunno.
  13. Is anyone interested in joining together to buy aero city cabs from o/s? Other commonly available cabs also potentially available. Please message me if interested.
  14. Report to QBCC if the work's shit. Make it 13 points lol. It's funny, I would not take my own advice when I'm pissed off about something (although I probably couldn't be asked doing something sophisticated like a webpage!). Good luck.
  15. Again, there's the same issues with that - except in relation to the passing off stuff. Words like shabby and dodgy are pretty loaded. If you think these people might have the money and wherewithall to get legal representation, you'd be better off leaving it alone. In fact, why not sue them?
  16. This is not legal advice because I have no knowledge of any relevant facts and no means to make any professional assessment of your circumstances. However, I am comfortable saying that 'yes, there could be a very big problem'. Depending upon the size of the company and the state and, crucially, what you say, they might have a cause of action in defamation. Again, subject to what you say, it is not uncommon to assert misleading and deceptive conduct claims alongside defamation claims. Additionally, the fact that you'd have taken domain names similar to theirs, you're opening yourself up to risk on that front as well - i.e. misleading and deceptive conduct in nature of passing off. Oh, and then there's tortious passing off. Again, none of this is legal advice and it will depend on what you say, but what a Court would decide is hardly the point. The real point is that they can assert some of the things from the above list, through the mouth of competent lawyers and make your life very unpleasant, irrespective of whether you ultimately prevail. To voluntarily engage in legal disputes or provoke legal disputes you need to have really deep pockets, be desparate or be crazy (or all). Edit: For completeness, I don't know who advised your American friends but I doubt that there's nothing they can do. Whether it's worth doing is another matter. In fact, there are fairly simple dispute resolution mechanisms through AuDA that might be able to strip registrants of deceptively similar .au domains.
  17. Has anyone here ever ordered a single candy cab and had it delivered? Yaton purports to offer that service. Not sure if it's real or not.
  18. Looking to trade neo geo carts. I have more than 2 or more of KOF94, KOF95, ninja combat and burning fight. Anyone intterested in trading?
  19. Bump. Will take 150 if someone can remove this weekend
  20. The story is that it only ended up in the Federal Court because the person who was complained about wouldn't settle.
  21. Wow. This thread has it all. From inaccurately citing a story championed by the Murdoch media when that story was grossly inaccurate itself and a blatant attempt at identity politics, to painting MLK as something other than a African American civil rights leader, to stories about a friend of a friend of a comedian.. The last one is just perfect. The context is that Person A became aggrieved at actions of Person B they perceived as a racist, and they told Person B that they thought it was racist. Person B then complains about being called racist.. I mean, seriously, can't you see the pathetic irony? If these grievance are the high watermark of your suffering, then your life is pretty good.
  22. Too precious says the man saying there's a freedom of speech issue because people call out obnoxious behaviour.
