Look forward to having the meet in the future.(plus side is I am dragging even more machines out of storage and getting them done in lockdown) Till then post your Covid opinions elsewhere !
  6. Well really sorry but there is no way thirty people can be playing and enjoying at a pinball meet next weekend. I have put a mountain of work into it, and will post another date in the near future. :(
  7. it has crossed my mind. but life goes on. A pinball party is a pretty good way of ending lockdown on the flipside.
  8. This meet has been on simmer for a little while now but… Finally it is June that means the meet is now next month. 14. Sorry cannot bring the cabinet back. i used to put them on the roof rack of the old 76 Subaru in the good old days Wife would kill me if I tried it now
  15. John here. No worries Doug. Will bring a tent and will be driving over from Melbourne. I used to have a business in Box Hill called the Pinball Shop, in the 90`s. I still have a collection of older machines from back in the day. looking forward to it.
  16. If there is a spot open that would be great. I dont get out that often. This would be my third meet in as many years.
  17. First real post. thought I had better crawl out from under my rock. This old fortune teller was a rough cabinet only and turned up at a Sydney Auction in 1982 and sold for twenty dollars. It was purchased by a collector here in Melbourne and then purchased by a Friend of mine Ron Fuller in a package deal about 1993 with some other penny arcade games. Rons wife was out shopping one day and purchased the paper mache witch from the Kerry Mcullens magic shop in Olinda. She took the punt bought it and yes it suited the game well. I swapped the witch and the cabinet for a pinball repair in 1994. The front face was original the cabinet was shabby but repaired using old donor cabinet timber off hard rubbish. Its then I put it away for a while. Well that happened to blow out to 16 years. Finally two weeks ago I got back into it thanks to lockdown The wall paper inside is genuine 100 year old salvaged from a wall that had been built over at my father in laws farm house. the floor is an old tile with Schlack to yellow and age it. the fireplace is original the table is from an old dolls hose and the crystal ball is a large clear glassy marble. I have cheated and subtly hidden LED lighting inside so it is not so dark. So close but just cant finish it, due to lock down. I need to cut two bits of brass slot them for the penny entry plates. Then get them engraved for each side “Ladies and “Gentleman for the fortune cards. So there it sits again so close yet so far. A great Aussie machine from the showman days of operating.’ You want to put a machine on site, well youll have to build it first.’
  18. Great work , Love it! Golden West operated so many EMs back in the day...
  19. Let me know if you need any close up pics of the score reel and relay. It can be a good reference with getting wires to the right destinations. Love Pro Footy had mine for 25 years
