  1. Personality is another one of those words. If someone starts by describing someones personailty.. stop right there. In fact if anyone describes to you a potential date without mentioning looks first, your probably in trouble. Inteligent, bubbly and friendly are all trigger words. My girlfriend was telling me the other day about one of her friends who is 'a really bubbly and nice person'. My response was 'faaaarkk how big is she'. My definition of curvy, would be someone that is over the average weight, but still has a defined figure. Not a grimace the purpule monster. You have to be able to point and name body parts.
  2. I felt sorry for this chick the other day. My mates and i were playing the 'i'd do her' game. And for the whole day everything that walked past we were like 'yep', 'yep'. Anyway it got till like 3pm and everyone we'd seen someone had said yes to. Until it we saw this one chick and it was a unanimous 'nuuup'. After saying yes to like 50 chicks early, she had to be pretty fugly for us to turn it down. But i guarantee you there is someone doing it. Says alot about men too i guess.
  3. Your one of the lucky ones then :)
  4. I think if you did a survey. 9 out of 10 men would be happy with that and 0 out of 10 women would be. No matter how big an expensive a wedding is i always seem to remember the little things. Like them trying to charge me $10 for a bourbon and coke.
  5. Well yeah i have to agree, i don't think me or any of my mates have particularly high standards. Which is demonstrated when we drive around and every 5 seconds you hear 'i'd do that'... 'i'd do that'... etc But i think my point.. or question in this case is.. a little more woman is better then a little less. No offense to my mate or anyone that a skinny partner.. but i could never be with someone that has smaller jiggles then me.
  6. This is another issue that seems to be dividing my mates at the moment. Skinny or chunky women. My best mate is going out with a girl, um how do i put this nicely.. um she's really skinny. I'm on the other hand going out with a girl that's um.. slightly chunky. I have to admit, it's pretty funny when they stand next to each and see two guys that have such similar tastes in everything else differ so much when it comes to women. So what's your preference? From going out with skinny woman all my life, i'm not sure what exactly converted me to going out with slighty chunky women.
  7. Yeah but i still think it should be one way or the other. If your having a big expensive wedding, then i feel everything should be covered. If your having a wedding that meets your budget, then fair enough. Not everyone can afford to have a big wedding without going into debt, and seeing though i have $10 to my name at the moment, i will throw myself in this category. If i have my way, my wedding will be on an island somewhere with only imediately family and close friends. I only see extended family maybe once a year, if not longer. I don't see why i should have to invite 200 people that i never see.
  8. See that's probably the way a wedding should be. If i had the choice we'd all go down to the local pub and get smashed. But from my experience i'm used to only seeing weddings with bills of $15k+. Which more often then not runs into $30k. Which personaly i think is a tremendos waste of money. No way i would fork out that sort of money. And seeing though this particular wedding is like $200 a head, not to cover $200 for a hire suit seems a bit tight. And he's having a go at my mate for wanting to bring his gf of 12 months along. I think 12 months more then justifies 2 invites.
  9. The couple times i had been a groomsman everything was covered for me. And my mate said the same. I think what annoyed him the most was that the groom went this long without saying anything, then with the wedding this weekend and final suit fitings on thursday, the groom sends an email saying 'oh btw don't forget to bring $200 on thursday'. I think if you expecting people to pay you should atleast let them know what they are getting into when they agree, not a couple days before your expecting payment. Seems to be a difference between, um whats the politically correct term. Um i'm gonna say 'wog', myself being half greek.. so i think i can use that term. In a 'wog' wedding, it would be an insult to expect someone else to pay. And more often then not, it's a complete open bar with the works. And the 'wogs' i spoke to seem to be of the same opinon. Although there seems to be entirely different rules if it's 1st, 2nd.. 3rd wedding etc. In comparison to an 'aussie' wedding, it's usually beer and wine and people seem to accept paying for suit hire etc. And there alot less of a production. As far as asking for money goes. I agree, money is the best present and that's what i will be hopping to receive the day my gf finally pressures me enough into marriage. But i think there needs to be a degree of tact involved. While i'm asking wedding questions. What's the go with inviting partners. If you were going to ask a mate to come to the wedding, should you always invite for 2? Or only if they have a gf. Or is there a time frame they need to have been with someone, a month, 6 months, 12 months etc?
  10. Ok i have a question for ya. If your getting married, should your bestman/groomans etc, have to pay for their own suit etc? I was always under the impression that if your a groomans everything should be free. But a wedding my mate is going to the groom is expecting payment for suit hire. Although i've spoken to other people that don't seem to have a problem with this. Also putting on an invitation that presents are discouraged and cash is the prefered gift seems a bit rude to me. Your opinions?
  11. I've used brasso on plastic watch faces before, i'm not sure how well it works on glass though. Can't hurt though i guess. I saw this on ebay; http://cgi.ebay.com/Glass-Polishing-Kit-windshield-scratch-removal-etc_W0QQitemZ120225419924QQihZ002QQcategoryZ11704QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem But i'm skeptical as always.
  12. Happens to be the rear window of my mates mx5. He bet me i couldn't get the scratch, i'd say he's winning at the moment lol.
  13. Can anybody recommend a product that will get medium scratches out of glass? Preferably something that is not excessively expensive. I tried to get a deep scratch out of glass, which worked. But unfortunately i seemed to have replaced one deep scratch with a million finer ones. I've tried using automotive cutback polish on a buff. I tried adding sand to it which helped a little, but i'm going to be here the rest of my life at this rate. Please don't recommend toothpaste lol
  14. Coinopkev from ebay ie http://www.kfe.com.au/ He's out at penrith, i've only ever bought stuff off him though. But he seems like an alright bloke. Able Amusement, i'm not sure if there still around, they went from revesby to peakhurst to ?
  15. I fried one once in the toaster. Didn't feel like toast after that.
  16. I tend to agree that for the most part insurance is a bit of a scam. Very rarely do you ever get out more then you put in. In terms of health cover, i probably would only ever use dental. And i don't use it enough for it to pay itself off. Car insurance is the same. As previously mentioned you end up covering all bad drivers, stolen cars and false claims. And the truth of the matter is most accidents are front and rear bumper bars. Someone gets distracted, don't see the car stopped in front, then tap them from behind. The cost of the accident 9 times out of 10 is far less then your yearly payment.
  17. Most stuff that is on cassette is on disk as well.. which is still very slow. But the best option is just play it on the computer, pc emulation now is 99.9% acurate. CCS64 is by far the best software around. The wii probably just uses ports of pc emulators anyway.
  18. The other problem i found when you get games like this is that it's good whilst the console is still your number 1 console on your shelf. But once it gets outdated and you replace it with your next console, then your stuck with the same problem you had in the first place; ie setting up an old system to play classic games. For example, i bought all the classic game packs on original game boy. Like space invaders etc. But now my gameboy is packed away somewhere, i'm back to square 1 again. (Sorry that all sounds complicated, i hope somebody understood all that lol)
  19. Too many games to mention. I could go on all day. But at $7.50, i think i will stick to playing them on my 64. That's what i don't understand about wii, alot of the classic games they have on there you could buy cheaper on ebayer. And actually own a physical original copy.
  20. If you wanna get technical there was windows 2.1 as well :lol
  21. It really was only a matter of time. But i still don't see blu ray making much of an impact any time soon. It took a surprisingly long time for dvd's to make a real impact on the market. Now everyone has one and you can pick one up for $30. I don't think blu ray real offers that much on top to make your average joe push all his dvd's aside for a blu ray player. Makes me laugh when you walk into jb hi fi and you see wall after wall of dvd's for nothing, then you see one stand of hd stuff and they want $40 for something you picked up on dvd for $8 a while ago.
  22. As good and popular as the 2600's are, they never really seem to attract much interest on ebay. You can still pick them up with a bunch of games relatively cheap. I was bidding on one the other day and it went up to $19, and i let it go because it was too expensive lol. About 6 months ago i picked up one at the markets with about 10 games for like $12 i think :) Strange that the console that started it all, is still one of the cheapest. It's sort of like a ford model T, you'd expect it to be expensive but they are suprisingly dirt cheap.
  23. That's why i loved my 64 and never understood ibm's. When they went from dos, to windows 3.1, to 95, to 98 they were taking longer to start up. My understanding of technology should be that things get faster. It's all driven by money, they make a new unecessary os and program it as badly as they can to make sure you need to buy the next super computer just to run ms word.
