Prisons in Australia are just taxpayer funded resorts for criminals in my opinion. I realise that the Asian nations have taken prisons to the extreme, but I believe they are on the right track with their harsh conditions. Committing a crime should be punished, not celebrated. I'm definately not a religious man, but doesn't the bible suggest an "eye for an eye"? correct me if I'm wrong ( no seriously, remember I am an atheist, hence I didn't read much of the bible ;) ) If someone murdered one of my loved ones for example, I would want them dead, by my own hand if possible, they don't deserve to live, but thats my opinion, and I'm entitled to it :p
