  1. I remember the em joker poker at 3 games for 20c. or 10c a game in bayside Melbourne. The first ss game I layed eyes on was a six mill man and that was 20c 3 balls. The new jp about that time wAs about the same
  2. Is this the longest running ad for a pinball in the history of egay? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CACTUS-CANYON-PINBALL-MACHINE-Excellent-Condition-/140590108239?pt=AU_CoinOp&hash=item20bbd2ce4f#ht_588wt_1139 A great machine but the days of 10k+ are over as the containers come roaring in. Just isn't the buyers round I'm afraid. I've lost dough recently on A grade titles that 2 years ago would have brought 2k more. I think its time for this guy to "meet the market". No I don't want to buy it.
  3. There's a game over relay that should activate, what happens when you manually close it? I think there was a start relay (S) on the wedge heads that should lock on and start the start up sequence. Does it go through the startup sequence again and reset everything? Theres none of those ax bx relays that give trouble on the multi player machines but there is 1 continous duty relay that gets real hot. This should deactivate once the last ball drains. btw, not selling are you? :)
  4. Where was this soccer game played?

    Pins in Japan

Yes I've been to Japan and there's one thing that differs from many western countries is the respect they have for others property. For instance how long would one of those vending machines survive on the cnr of Flinders/Swanston without someone ramming it and trying to smash the contents out? i dunno - a day? Over there its a common occurrence to see food vending machines on every cnr. I'd like to buy a pin from a country like that as chances are the cab at least would be top notch.
  9. Hi Were there many pins exported to Japan or were they just into vids?

  11. Hi all where do you get these little 20mm 3/8 amp fuses, I cant see them in the online cat in jaycar cheers
  12. Hi, anyone have one of these, seem hard to find. 1 went on ebay yesterday - anyone buy that one? Anyone have 1 for sale?
  13. Desire is often more satisfying than fulfillment - This is gold. Yours is it? So very true, especially when it comes to pins
  14. $650,000 per day for the AFL. This will make it hard for other oval ball games in aus
  15. For those of us who are not subscribers can you give us the reason bossninja?
  16. hang on "this guy" has only borrowed a tiny percentage of whats on the website. He compiled it, took photos and edited it - must have taken 100's hours. It was free for years but really did that make sense since everyone would refer newbies to the site to fix problems. If it were me I would have been selling it for $300 from day 1 with free updates for 12 months. That would have been fair as the cost of a tech to come out and sort your problems can reach that pretty quick. If I had tried to nut out some of the problems I'd had on my 12 odd machines, i just coudnt have done it without that site. I know its a hobby and all but he does fix machines for a living so kudos to him for putting it up there for free for years in the first place.
  17. Clay was the brains behind it although he "borrowed" some other peoples ideas about restorations etc. He has written pretty much all that by himself, so credit where credits due. Who here could be bothered and has the knowledge to do something similar. Those guides are a MASSIVE amount of work and he should be able to do what he wants and even pocket the dough himself. He's also a keen guitar collector and his guides on vintage guitars are pretty much the be all and end all of all publications on that subject. Nothing comes close, even from a paid perspective. I for one would happily pay 100$ for that cd if needed and would be happy for him to put the money straight in his wallet.
  18. Worth every cent as the dollars are now going to a good cause. I can fix any machine, em, ss,dmd largely because of that site.
  19. Hi Im after a TOM, TOTAN or some other A grader. Playfield must be top notch. cheers.
  20. Absolutely 100% 5v issue. Read through clays site on Williams repairs and just take it nice and slow. You may find you remove 1 of the board connectors and it "fixes" your problem. Unfortunately it's usually temporary
  21. I like drinking beer, unfortunately alchol has the second most calories to only fat per gram. If i drink lots one week, then my "punishment" is a bigger jog. My job is sitting on my arse all day and as i look round at the fat cants, they all look 10 years older than me and not well. The IT industry seems to be a magnet for fat cants, I dont know we all have out peculuraities but these guys are on the larger side of society and seem to be getting bigger by the day. My solution is to enjoy my food/beer but to keep my body moving in some type of aerobic exercise other than playing my pins - works for me:)
  22. Unfortunately I brought 3k at 96c for a pending visit in 6 weeks. Beats the 59c when i was last there, however
