  2. As much as i hate to admit it it does make me feel better and i feel the same as pop bumper pete Aussie Arcade also gets me thru when things arent all apples ive only actually met three members face to face chris from newcastle im not sure what his handel is on here that i brought a playable project cue ball wizard from for my best friends 50th who suggested i should join AA he also gave me the number of another member the mighty Mitch aka Mr Pinbologist it took me a long time to get up the courage to call him to come n have a captian cook at my pinbot which had not been working for 6 years I am so glad i did call Mr Pinbologist i told him i couldnt get pinbot to him as i didnt drive Mitch came had look n within 45 minutes i was playing my beloved pinbot that made me the happiest i had been in a very long time its truely unbelievable how good a simple game of pinball makes me feel After the bushfires of 2019 kicked us in the pinballs i put the feelers out for my favourite game Flash Gordon the amazing Railways sold me his excellent FG it not only made my day its made every day since i got it a just that much better Both Mr Pinbologist and Railways have invited me into their homes and shown me their awesome collections which left a smile on my dial and made happy for quite some time and for anyone with a mental health issue being happy is half the battle the people i have met and yet to meet thru AA and pinball have been the best people i have ever come across oh and a shout out to Doug 11 who recently sold me what i consider to be the best addams family in the country it is better than brand new its made the missus and i very happy indeed and like i said being happy is half the battle cheers mate n hope to meet you in person one of these days
  3. It took me a long time to realize i had a problem it took me even longer to admit that i had a problem and it took even longer still to do something about it and if i hadnt sought help i would not be alive today I hated what i had become i used to be an extremely social fun loving outgoing person and didnt worry much about anything foot loose n fancy free that was me but then i started having real trouble interacting with other people couldnt sleep and the littlest things would irritate n anger me i could not focus i could not remain calm for any length of time it got to the point where despair depression anxiety had consumed me i no longer wanted to be a part of the human race and the thing that shitted me the most was i didnt know why and felt powerless to do anything about it I had no job no home and no hope i was eating out of garbage bins and fearfull of every one around me i knew i had hit rock bottom when i found 20 quid in a bin and instead of buying food i went bought 3 longnecks It was a chance encounter with a complete stranger that brought me back from the brink of suicide I was sitting on a bench in a park wondering where i was gunna crash for the night when this older fella come n sat next to me pointed to my pack and asked me if had been in the army thank god i still had my army issued pack i told him i had been out for two years he asked me what unit i was in n if i had served over seas i told him i had been in afgahnistan he told me he was a veitnam veteran god bless them and if i needed help he could point me in the right direction which he did after seeing many psyches and spending quite some time in a mental health ward i was diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder the meds i was put on worked well to begin with but after prolonged use it pretty much zombified me i still find it extremely hard to sleep at night and im still quite anti social im no good in crowds they scare the shit out of me I am really looking forward to going to pinfest but at the same time im anxious and nervous as all hell thank you all that felt good to get off my chest
  4. Jeff im so glad you sold me your Flash Gordon I was playing it today there isnt a day that goes by that i dont want to play it twas the first pin i ever owned n it was no where near as good as yours i love it you are always most welcome if your ever up this way to stop in for a game or 20 anytime I wish i could of brought it to pinfest so everyone could enjoy it would of slotted in nicely in that superb row of Ballys it survived pinfest before n with bit of luck i hope to get it back there sometimes altho rarely i wish i still drove a car

Its a great clip it gives me itchy flipper fingers watching it what a smorgasbord of superb pins to play caught a glimpse of the mighty Flash Gordon its made me more determined to finally get there this year i havent played the Bride of Pinbot in years but would love to wish i had one the old Bride would slip in nicely next to pinbot I guess thats one of the best things about pinfest such a variety of games lovingly restored and maintained n lot of new ones that a lot of people havent played crikey i hope i can get there for the first time this year
  9. Mate your on the right site for the best pinball advice
  10. Steve if you are ever heading north up the highway you are always welcome to drop in for a few games on the mighty Flash Gordon im about 20 minutes out of Taree and your right the old FG would be a lot safer in Barden ridge a place i Know very well bought my husky wr250 2 stroke from there crikey i love that bike n then a few years later when i got out of the army i was a labourer at the ridge golf course from go to woe right up until they opened it to the public shit i can remember when it was a tip After the bushfires of 2019 reduced our farm to ashes depression had just about consumed me buying railways superb Flash Gordon n playing it was the best therapy ever its a keeper like i said mate if you are ever heading north past Taree do drop in for a game or 20
  11. Cheers Mitch without you working your magic i wouldnt be playing anything at all i reckon there would be a shit load of pin owners here on the mid north coast that would be buggered without you fixing our games Ive said it before n i will say it again your a true Pinbologist your collection is nothing short of orgasmic its truely something else

  18. CERBERUS is certainly a cracking looking canine n will no doubt provide years of love loyalty and companionship its truely amazing how much pleasure a dog or any pet can provide what really blows my mind is how adept pets are at sensing a humans mood and emotions n are always there if youve had a bad day to provide comfort with wag of the tail a lick of the hands a game of fetch or in the case of cats a good old purr ive always found a nice long pat always eases my mind and puts a smile on my dial the missus and i havent had a dog in a long time but weve had puss for at least 12 years and our most recent addition is the chooks 4 hens that give us the tastiest eggs and a ring in rooster that some wanker dumped on our driveway
  19. I thought about being a postie many many moons ago joined the army instead I grew up in a rural area n we didnt have a postal service or a mailbox until i was 15 everybody had to pick up their mail from the one and only general store the bizzare thing is 33 years later i live in a rural area and i dont have a mailbox im about 1k out of the village and they dont have mailboxes either but if you go 4 or 5 ks out the village everyone has a mailbox Ive met the postie that delivers the mail to the surrounding areas that do have mailboxes quite a few times as she also sells vegetables from time to time and is just as passionate sydney swans supporter as i am so whenever i bump into her we always yak about how good or bad the swanies are going She moved into the village and the village has no mailboxes i always found it funny that a postie has no mailbox and livs in a village that doesnt have any mailboxes
  20. Yes please that would be a fantastic opportunity the best of both worlds
