  1. Hi all. I have the below loose N64 carts and have spoken to a new local "Retro Gaming Store" who may be interested in buying them. Can anyone give any advice on the price of the below carts either individually or as a bulk purchase? I would like to support a new local Retro store - as there are not many around anymore. However, I also want to make sure I have a bit of an idea pricing beforehand to ensure they are not going to rip me off! The N64 prices on eBay/Gumtree seem a bit inflated by pro sellers and I am not sure they are realistic. I also can't really be bothered with postage etc. Any help would be much appreciated! 2. Hi All, I am after an unmodded original Nintendo Gamecube console that is in good cosmetic condition and plays well. Preferably I am after one of the earlier versions that has digital AV port on the back - so I can use a component cable to my TV for the best picture (should say DOL-001 on the sticker on the bottom). Any help would be much appreciated as I am not keen to pay the exorbitant eBay prices. Cheers, Brett
  3. I don't have a board yet, but would love to get one in the future (wife permitting). However in answer to your questions: - Although I personally have access to Windows, Mac & Linux machines, I would agree most people probably would like to access the roms via Windows. Could you just use the in-built network adapter on the RPi2 and include networking/SMB Server to access the rom folder over a LAN? Then it does not matter which type of OS you are accessing from. I'm assuming (without having any idea ;-) ) a networking stack & SMB server shouldn't add too much space to the software build? - High res or low res by default? I'm guessing this really depends if people are using predominantly in an arcade machine or on their higher res TV via HDMI? If you set it to be easily select-able, I would go for low res by default, as HDMI should still be able to accept a low res image - however most non-switching arcade tubes cannot accept a higher res image by default. - I would assume horizontal by default would be the go to cater for both HDMI TVs and traditional upright arcade machines. If you have a vertical monitor in an upright or a cocktail, you should be able to change this with setting via software with ease. Just my 5c. Hope to get a board soon!
  4. Sounds awesome. Keep up the good work! I would love to buy one once I have some spare cash.
  5. I've successfully grabbed a copy of the HDD image from the torrent. Many thanks to all those that seeded! If anyone else needs a copy, let me know I will seed it for you.
  6. Hey all, I am stuck on 56%. :deadhorse: Would be much appreciated if anyone could help seed for a week or two so I can grab the rest of the files. :anyone: Cheers!
  7. I'm definitely in. Let me know where to deposit the cash
  8. Looks cool. Are you able to take any pics of the internals? Can you provide a list of the gear you used ie video converter, power supply, audio cables, how your switch kick harnesses etc?
  9. I'll go inline after Pat if the postage is expensive or the games list is not up to spec. This would be a good start for me to get into PS1. No worries if Pat has grabbed it, as I'm sure another one will come up soon. Cheers
  10. Logitech GT5 is a good starter wheel - especially for kids. I have one and its great with Daytona, Sega Rally & Grand Turismo 5 on PS3. It has nice force feedback, but not as full on as the G25/G27 series. It is also natively recognised by the PS3 in racing games such as Gran Turismo 5 etc with no need to customise. Also much cheaper than G27. Dick Smith is one of the best prices I have seen from here: http://www.dicksmith.com.au/playstation-3/ps3-logitech-driving-force-gt-wheel-dsau-yg2331 Probably the cheapest price for G27 if you want to go more hardcore is here from Logitechshop: http://www.logitechshop.com.au/logitech-g27-racing-wheel-pc-ps3.html
  11. Is this one listed here on Gumtree yours? The $3,000 price seems very steep especially for a non-dedicated! Good luck if you can pull it off I guess. ;) $1,000 - $1,500 ($2k if you are really lucky) is probably more realistic.
  12. Looks very cool! Is this PS1 ? How you got it all hooked up? Did you need any sensors for the guns so they work on the projector? Cheers!
  13. MJ I would also be interested in one if you plan on doing any more in the future. Cheers!
  14. I'll grab the "new grey N64 controller" for $30 if no one has grabbed it yet. Will send a PM. Cheers!
