  3. attitude has been brought about by the un-fare treatment & why i asked for my membership to be cancelled in the first place still not sure the members here are worthy of my knowledge & time
  4. well i got one from you.. was not for a response.. & well asked for my payed membership to be cancelled went on a holiday & thought i may give AussieArcade a second chance & having someone do descriptive write-up's
  5. well this looks like a thread i never finished..
  6. Looks like i was here back in 2013 this advice still stands for those looking to buy a project..
  7. So i mistakenly post a for sale listing & it get's pulled but yet many years ago this was permitted .. why ?? seems like discrimination ??
  8. Cool.. i remember selling this wallbox.. now it is great to see it brought back to life :) i originally imported these wallboxes to couple up to a jukebox but have found more people like to use MP3's these days as the cost of a jukebox & then the out lay for quality modern music on vinyl is just out of reach for many..
  9. Ok.. had a thought about this problem after i logged off last night.. was a few months ago when i receive a message via my personal email address from another jukebox tech' in the USA with a customer with another turn table speed problem, so i do not think that you being in the USA will have the 50hz conversion spring but as you say this machine has had some dodgy work done in the past, i will assume a few things 1) the turn table motor grommets have been replaced, most probably with wrong size, hence lifting the motor too high.. 2) the turn table has been Dropped into place bending the idler wheels pivot point, in both cases this would move the idler wheel low on the shaft running on the main bearing shaft size of 3/16" ( 4.75mm ) in stead of being on the mid' diameter size for 45rpm how to & what to look for.. 1) the grommets should have a conical shape to the top , only one washer & "E" clip holding in place.. 2) the idler wheel support arm should hold the wheel parallel to the motor mounting plate.. if not then i would look at the centre pivot point shaft to see if it is bent.... with the motor in the correct place & not running the idler wheel should sit near the top of the 45rpm diameter part of the shaft, as when the motor is energized the armature is lifted by the magnetic field to centre it... this will bring the idler wheel to the centre of the 45rpm running diameter... 3) also if the idler wheel support arm is bent forward it will set the wheel in a downwards direction as the motor starts to spin & pull it down to the 3/16" bearing shaft.. hence you will get 52rpm...
  10. Ok. i see you are in the USA.. = 117v 60hz voltage the turn table motor's speed is frequency controlled ..... Q:- is there a spring screwed onto the shaft of the turn table motor.. if so the machine has the 50hz conversion.. so remove it .. the screw at the gear end of both the carousel & transfer motor is only to adjust back-lash for the armature
  11. Thank You... But this post/thread is not about the quality work i do, or the low prices i charge for the quality, i keep my prices down so people can get a bargain or tech's doing repair or service work can still make a profit when out-sourcing work to be done professionally... this is about Brad (moderator) not having the courtesy to to just pull my miss placed "for sale" post, give me the reason that due to being a new member he could not move it to the "general" sale section , as i had not reached to number of posts or made a donation to obtain these said privileges... instead i get a what i feel as being a condescending message telling me to "Please read the following post to understand why" Brad (moderator) was quick to pull my post & send a message but yet i have asked a few times for this mess of a post/thread to be deleted & it still here A.A. want people like me to do write-up's on the "how to" so members can find this a great place to learn & find the information needed to do a quality job when restoring / servicing a machine, & yet Brad was quick to shut the door on me with-out explanation... communication between members & moderators should be the best way to keep this forum as one of the best to get friendly help & advice....
  12. So true as to tyre kicked & those with no idea.. Sorry.. i never bought ANY CD jukeboxes or parts - - - Updated - - - "yep" it was 3 years ago when i did a FULL restoration of a 1494..... it is now pride & joy back in the owners home in Brisbane Hmmm... may have a connection for chrome & parts for the 1494.... & what else do you need.. But hang on .. this is NOT a for sale thread/post.. where do we take this ???
  13. "yes" was vague.. but was a starting point.. i need some one to help pull each machine out of storage to judge condition & value & at that point if it not sell "like they did not on eBay" it is just beyond what i can do on my own.. hence many have been scrapped.. i did save much of the NEEDED parts .. so my parts stash got bigger.. but i have had one person early this year take 90% of my Rowe/AMI parts & a couple of machines - - - Updated - - - "yes" it is my knowledge as to why i came back to AussieArcade as it was me Rock-Ozla that had the jukebox section started 8 years ago so i would have a place to dump my knowledge for those people wanting to find ALL the information needed to service or even refurbish a jukebox, but had a small few give me a hard time for what it was i only wanted to help.... the few posts i have now done under my new name Pac-Invader is to show i can also write ... "selling bits and pieces would be a good way to occupy your time" but my health not letting me even do half a days work :(
  14. $300.oo each ... so what are the parts going to cost ??? $2500 for a refurbished machine... fully working , re-built amplifier... what does it all cost... am i to work for free & then give away the parts needed to do the work.... i do not give to charity's - - - Updated - - - Then Why Was my post NOT moved to the "for Sale section ?????? this post/thread is only in response to it being pulled & that person not even moving it.... i came back here to help others & to try move my stock now my health is getting bad do us both a favor & put my post from yesterday in the for sale "General" section & delete this mess of a post/thread
  15. Also to those here reading this mess of a post/thread this is only in reply to one Moderator pulling the post i had here yesterday he did not even move it to the "for Sale" section .......... i had made an offer for those interested to grab a bargain before i scrap the lot.. some people make investments others go to the casino put it all on red win or loose you take your chances..
  16. "hard to deal with" :unsure well when i gave you a low price for a re-built amplifier so there is room for you to make a profit & you tell me it not worth it , what do you expect ..... - - - Updated - - - eBay is Australia wide ... & Adelaide central.. so post = either East or West
  17. Ok.. got a PM from Brad (moderator) telling me he pulled my post as in wrong place & i not have privileges he message me saying he could not move my "miss placed" post as i had no privileges so now i not know if i do or do not :unsure 9 years ago there was no jukebox section either
  18. i have never sold for profit.... to only get back what i payed 10 years ago is a break even good thing  even the work i have done for people has been at less than $10 per hour for qualified tech work it has only been a hobby & now with health problems can no longer do it i have offered part of my stock to a well known tech here in Adelaide only to have him say he only buys parts as he needs them so even at give away prices for bulk people do not want jukebox parts ....
  19. "yep" & those 8 tech's have known about me for over 10 years & still they buy & ship from overseas ..........
  20. eBay sales... yep one every 3 months for only penny's
  21. i live on a pension.. rent & food come first.. if i had a sale i could have coin for donation i even tryed a facebook page .. only to have people "like" pictures then shut that down after 2 years of trying then there is NO jukebox section here for me to list 10,000 parts & jukeboxes... & yet they say here on A.A. that they are here to help the arcader's
  22. Ok.. the Rock-Ola 490-1 has a computer with battery it is hidden between the 2 x PCB's when it lets go it takes out a lot of components some times you can have it part working, but not run in full mode.. as for blowing the 26v fuse .... i need to check schematic's i remember finding many common problems with these models years ago a lot of it came down to capacitors either going open or short...
  23. after 20yrs of being stuffed around looking for parts for people to say i'll have to pass & that being below cost price i have given them........ i have had this jukebox parts & machines in storage for 8yrs & can no longer afford the coin or the space so i now have 6 months to either sell or dump nearly 20 ton of crap 3 skips went last year & now working on a 3rd for this year
  24. Well i found them... 3000 , 4000 & 5000 but with some one just replying they not want to pay i'll shred them.. sorry to those now need buy from the USA & pay import fees
