  2. There were 2 credit boards made that look exactly the same one was for standard video games and one for TMNT , I have found the standard one and pretty sure it only need the TMNT CPU / Rom , I might ask nigel if he has the info on record somewhere because he actually designed the TMNT credit board . I found a display and purple MCA if you want them .
  3. This place still advertises Sentinal Mechs for sale , they actually repair / reprogram them as well . http://www.bigtop.com.au/index.php?cPath=58&page=2
  4. Trav , These cabinets were never made with a sunrise credit pcb , they had a custom made credit pcb with a TMNT label on the custom cpu / eprom. They were manufactured here in WA by LAI , as were all the original turtles cabinets . Of course it will work with a Sunrise MK4 wired in separate mech mode . Remembering this game doesn't have a credit store pool that can be divided up for the 4 players so the credits have to be stored on the credit pcb and deducted to the player by pressing the corresponding credit button above the control panel. In later games these are used as start buttons but TMNT had the start connected to the player switch 1 buttons. If you are chasing a MK4 , contact Nigel he is a great guy to deal with and actually designed all the sunrise products plus many other custom designs. 6. Ah ok , There is a lot of this type of info available , there is a heap of technical info available on anything that has been dumped and even stuff that hasn't been yet. http://www.mameworld.net/maws/ look at the PCB info tab http://www.mameworld.net http://www.mameworld.net/gurudumps/
  7. You dont need a credit board to test these or any other mech , If you look on the side of the sentinal / coin controls mech there is a label that tells you the pinouts for the the connector . All you need is 12V and GND plus you need to ground the enable pin for the channel you are testing . If you connect an LED with a 470 ohm resistor from 12v to the coin output you are testing if will flash if the coin is accepted . These are more likely to drop the $2.00 coin program first so better to test the $1.00 channel to start with . If your not sure what the pinouts mean just post them here and I will post the description beside them for you.
  8. That question is about as broad as "can anyone list what types of motors cars have" Can you be more specific ??
  9. Guys anyone has the right to make public any factual dealings , as long as you keep it factual and dont share your opinion or thoughts publicly about the company or employee's of the company. You can even search government records , news papers , court documents or whatever you want to make public any company or it's employee's if it is factual and not bound by a signed confidentiality agreement. I was threatened and later sued by Australia's largest Spammers Wayne Mansfield for making public everything I could find out about him , I even publicly called him Australia's most persistent spammers , I posted every public complaint , all personal and financial records of this spammer who eventually lost the case when the judge declared that everything I said was fact and true , the fact that I filled in many gaps that people weren't aware of was irrelevant no matter how much he didnt want it known. The truth lost him $1000 per day , almost all of his business and still has him blacklisted on site from every ISP in the world. The moral of this story was he did the damage himself , I just made it public , lets face it if he was a running a good company and I did the same thing it would have been free advertising . The judge even commented I would have more than likely been lying by saying he wasn't a spammer :)
  10. Woka , my opinion "and it is my opinion", is directed not at people like yourself but as I said " Honestly if you dont know pinballs well , dont buy anything you cant put your hands on first " There are 3 horror stories and countless other not so good ones as well , all were people that didn't know pinballs and none of them were purchased from commercial entities , my opinion is based on experience of which I have 22 years of in this industry , there are a lot of not so honest people using ebay as a means to sell rubbish that they know very well they couldn't sell any other way. This really makes it hard for legit sellers and buyers alike. What you said is great advice : The key is to know your seller, research their history, and research the other bidders buy/sell history - and ask the questions. If 3 of the 4 bits of the puzzle don't fit then reserve judement. In Damian's case , he's lucky it is local and he can see it first hand
  11. I have seen 3 complete horror story pinballs purchased using Ebay , none of them were the machine in the picture. Honestly if you dont know pinballs well , dont buy anything you cant put your hands on first . If there is no way you can physically see it then consider purchasing from a reputable dealer like markc at Child Amusements for example.
  12. BTW , The G13.1404 is a Totalizer , meaning it has a built in Credit board and has been obsolete for 9 years now . For anyone else interested I have been repairing and servicing these mechs for about 15 years so can help anyone with NRI problems.
  13. Hey Trav , I dont have one in front of me atm , but there are 2 switches on the end that set the pulse width , most later games wont accept a coin pulse longer than 100 ms , where a lot of older games accepted a pulse up to 250ms . There should be a yellow stick on the back of the mech that shows you the settings , sometimes they are inside that cover. If you cant find them or work it out I will give you the settings on Monday when I go to work.
  14. No not behind bunnings , it's more up leach hwy toward freo but on the same side as bunnings , there is a new shopping in between Toyota and the other car yards on leach hwy.
  15. There are quite a few good games in Pot Black (including the ones you mentioned) , James street Northbridge . Timezone is also in Northbridge and Innaloo . There is another arcade in the small shopping on the corner of Leach Hwy and ( Freo side of North Lake Road) Half internet games and about 40 arcade machines . Another centre is located at hillaries marina and also Pot Black .
  16. I have had some success with PC monitors , but there are so many different types it''s not worth the grief when selling to the general public .
  17. Ah ok , that was an issue on the first revision , there are some parts that differ between 12 and 10 pin CRT's . The 12 Pin needs an additional alignment coil and and couple of other parts added which is no extra cost, all you have to do is specify the type of CRT it is going onto . There was no need for the pot after the coil value was worked out correctly .
  18. The Prof , Can you please be more specific ?
  19. Many people dont realise that the CRT's used in cheaper brand TV's like Akai , Teac , Orion and many others can be used for a CGA arcade monitor when matched to a universal chassis. These Chassis can be set up to run any CRT ( except computer monitor CRT's ) from 13" to 21" , 8 , 10 or 12pin types . All you need to do is specify the amount pins on the CRT and the measure the yoke , I will do the rest . http://www.jomac.net.au/tech-stuff-2/how-to-check-how-many-pins-your-crt-has/ http://www.jomac.net.au/tech-stuff-2/tech-stuff/ These chassis are freevoltage and can operate from 85v to 265v AC and are very simple to connect with all the supplied cables and plugs. There are also several cheaper brand 25" to 33" TV's that can be matched to a universal Dual Res 15 / 25K chassis , send me a pic of the yoke and the readings and I can tell you if it is suitable . Lately I have seen countless amounts of the cheaper TV's put out on the street for council rubbish collections , just rip the tube out and throw the rest away . If you have any questions dont be afraid to ask . Jomac
  20. I hear there is some guy in Qland , JP I think his name is , Just ask Trav for the details ;)
  21. Thanks for the nice welcome guys :) Always do my best to treat people like I want to be treated , it seems to work ! Looks like the only thing that would make everyone on here happier is if I moved to Qland hehe., but for now I am only a phone call or email away :)
  22. Hi Guys it's Jomac , Just to follow up , when Mickey got his monitor back from repair there was no heater , it turned out to be a wire between the chassis and neck board had broken off . It's up and running sweet and no tube damage.
