  1. yep, after last nights episode I'm thinking there is evidence of either a cover up or very sloppy police work. Will be very interested in the final episode next Tuesday. For those who didn't see last night, go to ABC iview or see The untold stories of Luna Park's Ghost Train fire https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-03-24/the-untold-stories-about-luna-parks-ghost-train-fire/13259246
  2. Part 2 tonight. The focus is the arson theory. Lead officer on Ghost Train fire investigation 'perverted the course of justice', police prosecutor says https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-03-23/prosecutor-luna-park-ghost-train-fire-investigation-flawed/12243672
  3. Toss a coin - similar games. I'd go with Jacks as I like Gottlieb card theme games
  4. I bought my 1970 Gottlieb Aquarius at the Luna Park auction. I was always puzzled why the place kept an "old" machine like Aquarius when SS were taking over by 1979. I remember someone telling me that the machines owned by Luna Park were stored out the back and the machines in Penny Arcade were an operators - maybe Abe Saffron's. Can anyone shed any light on this?
  5. This is worth a watch as well
  6. Maybe someone on AA has templates you can download and print. If not, check this and note the guy Cody to contact https://www.stevechannel.com/flash.htm
  7. From what I saw in Part 1, I'm leaning towards @Autosteve 's theory - a tragic accident. Those who were in the cars in front saw a small fire that eventually grew larger. Had an accelerant been used, it might have got bigger quicker. Will be looking forward to next part
  8. if you didn't see part 1 of this tonight, then worth watching on ivew. so sad for the surviving families and the ghost train attendant deserves to be called a hero and honoured
  9. Looking forward to this tonight Accident or arson? The mystery of Sydney's Luna Park Ghost Train fire https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-03-16/sydney-luna-park-ghost-train-fire-accident-or-arson/13180028
  10. Mic? Just a night soil remover's thought. My Uncle Richard used to work on the 'dunny cart' aka the 44 door sedan.
  11. it will be interesting to see how much evidence is put forward in connection to Abe Saffron's role in the fire. For background see https://www.smh.com.au/national/nsw/luna-park-fire-the-files-that-linked-a-sydney-underworld-figure-to-a-tragedy-20210312-p57a5a.html
  12. I will be watching this on Tuesday https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-03-10/luna-park-ghost-train-fire-survivor-breaks-silence/12224530
  13. Oz to Chicago for a pin.... Like coal to Newcastle
  14. OK, give me your theory on Melissa Caddick and bits of her now washing up on NSW south coast.
  15. For some reason tonight I went downstairs to play my pins (BTW had a record score on Grand Slam) and saw my old Aquarius and remembered buying it at the Luna Park auction. When I got it home I noticed the little plaque which was engraved with "Luna Park 1935-1980 was missing. Does anyone have a pic of those plaques? I want to do a repo and stick it on to celebrate 40 years since I bought it
  16. luckily or those from ATSI backgrounds might say unluckily, the first fleet did not go via the Bermuda Triangle as we all know how aliens make ships disappear there.
  17. yes 26Jan 1949 was the day we became Australians not British subjects
