  1. Found out the LE's are not in fact on the ship yet, however have been produced and due to ship in the next day or so.
  2. Ok good to know. Ill double check with AMD tomorrow as I'm still a bit suss with the whole LE parts delay. I did notice guys with production numbers in the 200's got theirs in the US so they could have got ours through as we often get LE's numbered around that.
  3. Don't know if people here have read about the production delays on social media etc. But I'm going to suss out whether some of the Aus machines are on the boat or caught up in the parts delay tomorrow when AMD are open.
  4. My take on this mod is same as others who have said it's not that a great mod if it alters gameplay. Making the shark eat the ball for the sake if it isn't nearly anywhere as exciting to watch in reality.
  5. Was listening to Kaneda earlier and he's really changed his tune on EJ. He's put it to the top of prefs in current machines like Jaws and PF. But yeah the price is definitely a massive issue. The other thing for me is not being able to stand the theme at all. If JJP do a Beastie Boys, which could be on the cards, I could be straight in. Meanwhile as theme, I'm still right in on Jaws.
  6. That's awesome feedback. Well known British pinball bloke Neil Macrae played it too and absolutely raved about it.
  7. They are indeed definitely sold out. Apparently the general enquiry has been massive. So that's pretty interesting given the somewhat mixed reactions online.
  8. AMD now say LE sold out this morning. I'm hoping they haven't forgotten me on the LE list after putting down for one quite a ways back.
  9. Enjoyed watching the live YouTube earlier today. Definitely saw enough to satisfy me. Definitely no shortage of movie footage, so no need for JP custom code. The 3D mode was quite a cool gimmick for pinball, especially as someone who still loves watching 3D in the HT.
  10. Yeah I can see that definitely happening in the current economy with people getting over excited then remorse before the final bill comes. Plus @ $US500 it's a pretty big ask for Pro owners to buy it, as well thought out as it is.
  11. I'm definitely still in on one. Will be good to see a full stream of it though. Bit surprised how open the pf is in the middle. I do love the art and fact they kept to the classic poster design and colour palette. Looks like my Franchi translite won't be getting a run.
  12. Still loving mine and still plenty to achieve with regular updates adding more content. It's definitely going nowhere in my collection. As for any pf effects from building, not seeing any pf damage. It doesn't seem to really smash the balls down on the pf that hard.
  13. I will say at least they've done a better job to differentiate the machines compared Halloween / Ultraman. I'd definitely wait to see more though given it seems like there's a lot coming out in the next 12 months.
  14. The design for Looney Tunes looks pretty decent to me and the art definitely 'pops'. Interested to see how it actually plays when they put up some gameplay videos. I think I'll most likely take a pass on it though NIB. My experience this year with having my Scooby, that was ready in September, held back without my knowledge by Nitro Pinball to be put into the Aus group container really rubbed me the wrong way given I hadn't signed up for an entire year's wait so to speak. Even to the point I've just about lost interest in Scooby enough to not even worry about it when it is finally landed and ready. So i'd definitely not be interested in a repeat scenario like that again with LT as Ceemunkey also said. Meanwhile, stuff like Elvira BRK is coming next month and probably Jaws not long after that, both of which are enough keep me going well into next year I reckon.
  15. Yeah, I was waiting for you to jump in along those lines. We all get to say that to the generation below us. I can finally say it to the 30 odd year olds, just as you can turn around and say it to me (two fold though so to speak) lol. I'd have possibly jumped into pinball if I had the space 5 years before as well if I had the room, but I lived in 2br unit at that stage so wasn't really practical.
  16. Lol wow I was 26 in '97 when I first started buying pins Now I feel old!
  17. It's a cool retheme. I still love my resto FT, I've pretty much always had one since I bought one as my first machine circa '97 That's quite a contrarian view there on Elwin. The only Elwin's I don't go for are the themes I don't dig, Maiden and AQ. But in saying that I totally respect the way they both play, they really draw you in. I've got no doubt whatsoever Jaws will do that and more. It's also been pretty much top of my theme wish-list for over 5 years now. So the more Jaws the merrier in my book 🙂
  18. You the FT retheme? I can't for Elwin's Jaws. The leaked details so far are sounding brilliant. I reckon it's going to be game of the year.
  19. Yeah just getting back what it owes. Wasn't going to try to make up the difference in price Jaws LE will be like some people would on FB groups etc. It's definitely done it's time with me. It gets a bit too repetitive to play many games in row.
  20. Have just taken a deposit from a fellow member. Thanks for looking everyone 🙂
  21. Now listing my BKSOR LE with Topper and shooter rod for straight sale, no trades, I need the space. Low plays in perfect condition all round. Can be picked up or happy to have Bill or Hytech, etc collect.
  22. It's good set up, especially for the gong that's been basically nowhere since I stated collecting back in the late 90's. The core of modem Sterns seems to stay while they rotate some of the titles around the edges, which is cool. Personally they're pretty brave to put in premiums for the punters to bash. I'd have kittens if any of my pins where there. Mind you I find the beercade guys in Sydney nuts for having so many LEs in a bar for people to bash.
  23. Yeah I was 7 when the Space Invaders arcade unit came out. So I was teenager in the mid 80's. That launched me straight into video games. I've got a good memory of playing an Evil Kenievel Pinball in around 1978 at a local pizza parlour near where I lived in the States at the time. I recall playing few games and find it a challenge to coordinate and lost interest pretty quickly with what was going on in it. Some time around then I also remember a school friend had a sleepover with a group of kids and he had one of the 70's bally home version, can't recall which one. I was probably well placed to see a bit of pinball back then. Sometime in the early 80's I was in Melbourne visiting with my Mum's friends who owned St Kilda Pier Kiosk and playing the pinball they had there. I was a lot older and remember it entertaining me for bit while I played a few games as there was nothing else to while there literally not able to go anywhere else for a day or so. So yeah that was my experience and tbh, I loved game systems, which then led me into many computer systems. Collecting game systems was my version of fun back then. Also, in all honesty I can easily see when I play and 70's or 80's machine today, why it is I shied away from then back then - and probably why I've had my Haunted House resto stalled longer than anything else I've owned (along with lack of space for it).
  24. I certainly can't blame kids of this era as I was a kid in the early 80's and didn't really want to know about pinballs when I was at the arcade, it was all Space Invaders. I recall watching my old man play Space Invaders pinball as I was playing the video game and I was kind of bemused by it -and also a bit freaked out by the creepy alien copy artwork. Wasn't until the late 90s when I decided to revisit pinball for the home that I found myself totally absorbed in and how much it had evolved since the 70/80's.
  25. I'm getting rid of my still NIB Premium too, sending back to AMD to get the new LE. GLWS.
