  4. Not at all, did that sound funny? I find it hard to read no matter the theme.
  5. Anyone got the link to the facebook group? I find it harder to follow AA since the 'redesign'.
  6. It looks like recording wasn't enabled... Whoever is in charge of the stream could enable recording for next time? On Twitch under Settings / Stream / Store past broadcasts. Only caveat where recording is not recommended is if you're playing loud music that could get a copyright strike on stream. Otherwise it's free recording for 14 days (can be extended with highlights). Great to see SA having comps, we all wish we could be there right now... and good job for streaming it too. Catch you soon...
  7. uhh... Well that escalated quickly. Grange, is that the suburb? Sorry, what's the location? Can you put me and Hugo as +1 down?
  8. Thank you for having us, your old SS machines play better than most people's new machines! I love your collection, great tastes. Keep up the good work.
  9. If you go to the forum page Pinball Competitions, Tournaments and Leagues: I believe you can hit 'subscribe' button top right and you should get an email notification of every new thread in this forum. Alternatively, as a courtesy, someone could notify that the new houseball has been announced by posting a response in the previous houseball thread... I understand 30 fills up quick, at the same time it's good to see new faces too. My second comp in Brisbane was actually at Woka's if I recall, I just messaged Hugh and he told me to rock up. I got mixed up, played a machine twice... Hardly following protocol, even for the time... and since I've become a big addict of pinball... So houseballs for newbies are definitely important too, you never know the influence you could have! Thanks for organising, hosting, taking a chance on new people etc. I would host if I had the capability.
  10. hah, I know... definitely a redbull breakfast. I thought about skipping finals, but these guys are the cream of the crop and I'm not going to just lay down. We fly across the country for tournaments, so I think I can get up in the middle of the night, stroll down to my garage and give em hell. 😀
  11. Qualifying is over, with both the aussie entrants qualified in the top 24! me & @chopchop You can view people's run by clicking their score in the leaderboard here: https://www.pinclashtourney.com The finals is June 13th 4:00 AM QLD time 🤪 and it's a head to head, best of 3, speed run of a random set of challenges with various tiers. Every competitors have to setup their machine exactly the same following strict parameters for both the physics and the software settings. Brackets for the final: https://challonge.com/pinclashaiq
  12. Yeah I just shoot the pretty lights over and over and sometimes it's good.
  13. Full rulesheet here http://tiltforums.com/t/willy-wonka-rulesheet-early-wip/5406
  14. Wow that's going quick! Clearly shows wpprs aren't why people play.
  15. Have a look at MPF Pinball Framework. They have a ton of doco in their wiki about matching boards and setup for manufacturer / era, and a solid framework used by some commercial games. That one is Python and most things are done through config file with only really custom work done in Python. It's definitely the most user-friendly and best documented framework, and it's rock solid. Have fun.
  16. Raising a flipper during the start animation doesn't count as a flip. And stage flips don't count as flips. Shoot ant mystery 2 times to get multiball, that gives you 2X as long as 2 balls are in play. Then left ramp, right ramp, Hawkguy loop combo for another 2X, and purple shots hurry ups I think are 3X. Good luck!
  17. So far only two people are doing Pinclash from Aus. If you have access to AIQ, consider getting onto it mates! Would be nice seeing more than one state getting behind this. You can also open your house for mates to qualify, or borrow a rig, but only the best qualifier per location can make finals. https://www.pinclashtourney.com has the details. 1 month to qualify. ref. @chopchop
  18. Thanks for having us; it felt like being part of the family. What an amazing collection, not just the spread of machines, but setups. They looked amazing, flowed superbly well and played way better than out of the factory.
  19. No IFPA points for the last few months and no WPPRs in sight; yet it's been as fierce as ever. I don't think anyone misses the WPPRs. Normal attendance, even new players have joined since COVID, and everyone is playing their hearts out, no one is holding back because it's "worthless". WPPRs are overrated. People love pinball and they love tournaments, the intensity in finals has been the same; maybe even more intense than usual, as we feel lucky to be able to go out and compete. Stay safe, but play pinball!
  20. I missed this post please add Nic as competitor to the reserve and Hugo as a 'visitor'? He wasn't to keen to play tournament games last time and I'm not going to push him. Happy to contribute $ on his behalf for the food etc. of course.
  21. Hey Dicky & crew Thanks for having us, Hugo and I had a great time. Always a pleasure playing your machines. cheers.
