Hey guys,
Someone at my work, who I don't know real well but was quick to say hello and always a smile on his dial, has had a nasty accident a few month ago. He is now a quadriplegic, needs help to breathe, has two kids with health problems and has been royally screwed by his super/insurance. I mean nothing forthcoming screwed. :realmad: The boys have been doing really well but it's time again to get the ball rolling to keep the momentum with our efforts so I have decided to do up an arcade game or pinnie to give away as a raffle at work. I have ditched/given away/sold most of my stuff so not much to choose from at my place at the moment. Thanks to Wackos Amusements in Townsville, who is one of the real good guys of the industry, I have a nice sunset riders cabinet for the cause.
Looking for suggestions at this early stage, haven't picked it up yet so don't know what it's like for sure, do know the monitor chassis is missing. Might have a non working kortek one here somewhere to repair.
Most of the guys here are old like me and would prefer a 60 in one maybe but could be a hassle to turn the monitor. May not be doable.
I have a rgb vga converter here so maybe a cheap lcd telly would be an option. I can scratch one of them up.
I haven't personally got the cash for a zillion in one so maybe even mame...shudder:lol. Would def need help with that
Anyway, would love some suggestions of what to do with regards to games and if it's not too much to ask if you were thinking of putting those last couple of buttons etc on ebay hang off until I get a list of bits and pieces, or parts that may be hard for me to source. Will post pics of the project by the weekend. Have heaps on but I can't imagine what it would be like to be in this position and am inspired by the guys who have stepped up to the plate to help old mate out and spread the arcade love:p
Also is there aussie arcade decals available to put on this machine?
Thanks, Gavin
