hi all. Keen to get a tommy checked out. I’m in Adelaide and unit is in Brisbane and I have been victim of a scam so don’t want to be fooled twice. Happy to pay a fee. Chap in Brisbane selling is Chris Carroll. Location is Hillcrest 4118.  Regards Peter.

I can do this for you.

No fee required for a fellow AAer.

Its just near my work so should even be able to do it tomorrow.

Full inspection or just check it exists?

    Event Author: rusty_dagger
    Calendar: Community Calendar
    Event Date: 18/12/21 02:00 PM

Xmas Houseball has rolled around. If you have been to one before you know they are a great event with Santa always making an appearance.

Bring your swimmers if you like and familys are welcome. Can you please let me know though so we can factor this in to numbers.

    Comp details.

4 hours of qualifying with a 2 p.m start. Finals to be held after dinner which will be at 6pm but if qualifying can be done sooner it will be earlier. Please get your comp games finished ASAP so you have plenty of time to socialise afterwards.

Score sheets will be on each machine with attendees names on them. If you name isnt please write it down.

    Format.

There will still be an 'A' and 'B' Division with equal prizes in both.

You play 6 games on the nominated machines with your best 5 results going towards your final standing.

The top 4 placed players will go through to the 'A' division finals . The highest 4 from the second half of the field will go into the 'B' division finals.

Finals will be on 3 randomly chosen machines with the 7,5,3,1 format of awarding points. Single round and the person with the most points wins. Tiebreakers are TBA.

    House rules.

Please remember that Houseball is a social event, we are not playing for sheep stations. Please show the hosts and their machines the utmost respect as without them this event ceases to be a thing.

Please remove all rings/bracelets when playing.

You will be asked to leave if you are found abusing machines/other players.

Smokers please ensure you leave no butts around the place. The host should be able to tell you where it is ok to smoke.

The list is at 30 but as always the host can use there discretion on extending numbers.

And lastly, a bit of friendly banter is encouraged.

** Please note ** People will be asked to maintain social distancing and i will endeavour to provide hand sanitiser. If you have a small personal bottle of hand sanitiser it would be great to bring along with you on the day.

    ** If you have any cold/flu symptoms , please don't attend **

    Food and costs.

$10 covers food per person. Most likely pizza.

    Forest Lake

  3. Just a couple of things.

I think it may have been lost a little some where along the way but there will be water and bottles of soft drink for free in the large esky and as always it is BYO alcohol.

I am going to start selling some “budget” leds. By budget I mean price. I use these myself and while they are no Cointaker quality they are very good for the price.
I am doing an introductory price of 50c a led with the price most likely increasing to 60c each. I am happy to give a sample if you are interested to try them out. I will have some at Houseball today.

  5. Thanks all for a great arv/evening again. Another successful Houseball.

Massive thanks to the hosts Jayson and Danielle for letting us take over your lovely house. Thanks also to @zanderzone @raysco @visualmagicfor the loan of machines.

As usual a big thanks goes to the helpers. Without the helpers I would be even greyer (if thats even possible) then I am now. @FireFly Sarah for her scoring expertise. @Saber Travis as the IT / Matchplay master. @DAG Dave for bringing all the scoreboards, pens etc. Angela is playing role of secretary also.

    Results were

    A Division

    1st Rusty

    2nd Cranky Dave

3rd Callum (young guy first ever comp)

    4th Replay Rob

    B Division

    1st Anthony

    2nd Sarah

Equal 3rd and 4th Danielle and Mike

We also drew the raffle last night with $60 raised for the end of year party. Cranky Dave took out the raffle. A nice little win of 50 LEDs for a $5 "investment".

With everything that is happening at the moment I doubt there will be a Houseball in November unless someone wants to put there hand up and the date suits. With that in mind the last one for the year will be at Travis and Sarahs place. Date to be advised. This is always a popular even so it will be first in first served. It will be listed here first before taking it to Facebook if we need to make up numbers but I doubt we will.
