  9. Hi everyone, I haven't been on AA for ages due to illness (3 heart attacks and a quad bypass) and as everyone who used to know me on here I used to restore pinballs . I am back into the scene again, but want to try my luck with a Cocktail cab this time, it doesn't matter on the condition, but I would truly like to get myself a Hankin 20" or even a taito 20" if anyone has one available. Vic sale preferably. Oh and glad to be alive and back on AA ;):D
  10. I would like to thank you very much for the invite Mike, I haven't been on AA very much lately as I have been very ill, and just recently had my 5th heart attack in 9 months and not doing so well. If I could I would love to come along but my state will have me down and out for a while yet... I am so happy you still have my old TZ! it looks great... Maybe in the near future when I am better I will gladly take you up on you offer when you have another get together. Have a great night and thank you again :) Regards, Darren
  11. Wercome to AA @networkprofi71 Yes I did get it worked out in the long run, it happened to be a problem on the power driver board in the bottom of your RFM. The board had seen better days and had to be repaired and worked a treat after repairs. It could be problem with your coin door switch being faulty, or problem with your driver board, either way start with those two :)
  12. I see the Dreamcast gdemu is still pending @feeras is it coming up to re listing yet or is there another person in line for that bundle. Cheers, Darren
  13. Ahhh my old STTNG, I hope it goes to a nice new home :)
  14. Hi all, Just putting it out there to see if someone has one, working or throwing error codes it doesn't matter. Let me know if you want to sell ;) Darren
  15. Here you go @WOKA :D I've used the original holes from the old PC and drilled holes in the new PC to suit. At any time you can slide out the new PC once you unscrew the nut on the side of the comp. It's a tight fit but works well
  16. RFM No: 3 lol this is my 2nd one as I really loved it that much, the only other pin I have bought more than once was 3 TZ's. Not sure on what you want to know about the PC conversion there @WOKA it was a reasonably easy process with a lot of reading involved and I mean a lot!, it also helped having a backup of the pinbox setup for a few years because it is really hard to find on the web now. The only problem was adding a proper linux start up code to the RFM to run, that took me ages to get working properly. The mod for the original amp was a simple process to make it work with the PC as well. Unsure if the SSD has made a massive difference in load time but having a PC in there makes me feel so much better that it will last another 10 odd years... I also have a spare computer here if it ever craps out
  17. SOLD Hello everyone, up for grabs is my RFM, I bought this as a fixer and spent over 200 hours on restoring it, people who have bought from me in the past on AA have not been disappointed with my swaps or sales Playfield completely stripped down and polished, every part has been cleaned down amongst replacing 80% of machine screws and bolts, new locks, opto?s, opto mounting plates, repaired power driver board, 95% new posts, complete rubber kit, pop bumpers replaced, complete rebuild of flipper assembly including flipper coils and new coil sleeves on every coil, new flippers and new flipper rubbers, LED lights though out, new balls, wrinkle finish coin door and wrinkle finish legs, new feet and rubber shoes for feet.. Complete sand down and re decal whole pinball, 21.5 LCD screen, Great lakes Modular LCD bracket installed, and PC running Pinbox with SSD drive. Resprayed all black inside of top box and inside of pinball, brand new pop ball assembly with hole light mod, stroke of luck hole protector, all 3D targets have been either replaced or repaired, new lane switches 70% replaced. Playfield has no wear marks other than little pits from the ball over time and the hole that is covered by a cliffy is in really good condition for its age. Original amp is still installed and modded to run through the pc speakers so it still sounds as it was when original LOUD!!. I think I've missed a few things done but I will update my page when I remember. The only things that lets it down is it needs the lock down bar sandblasted and powder coated, I think it needs new flipper buttons but people might think otherwise, and 2 plastics need replacement as one is cracked and one has been replaced with something from another machine from previous owner!!! metal ramp is worn and cracked, and playfield glass is getting a bit old. Other than those things the pinball is in fantastic condition and plays flawlessly with out any errors. Can upload more photo's if requested sorry if some of the photo's are sideways :unsure Looking for $2700 but willing to move with no low balling please as this was a big project Regards, Darren
  18. What was a ball park on your RFM PF resto there @john17a .. Might get my RFM PF done (I've done the rest)
  19. SOLD PENDING PAYMENT Hi all, I have heaps of left over RFM playfield parts from restoring 2 into 1 and have no need for these parts anymore! The playfield has wear marks and a part on the stroke of luck picture missing, over all it isn't too bad and would be a great restore for someone. I would also help scan the stoke of luck of my other RFM to help in the restore process. Ramps are in great condition except for the dust and the lamps being broken, and one screw holder broken as seen in the picture. Lane guides are in good condition as well. Trough is in good condition I also have plenty of other bits and bobs to go with the sale including a coin door, just have way too much to keep taking photos, but what I have shown is the main parts. Will not seperate and Asking $250 for the lot FIRM. Pm me if interested. Regards, Darren
  20. That is one fine CBW Jules! I had one and is truly a very underrated machine IMO, I wish I never got rid of mine and would personally drive up to Canberra to get it in no time if I could afford it!!
  21. Hi everyone, I am having a problem with my Revenge from mars, I have just completely restored this machine from a non working state and have just had the power driver board repaired as well due to some faulty chips on it that was causing the pin to always say coin door is open. My RFM is using pinbox and I am sure I have set it up properly, and reinstalled numerous times, but the start button will not work to let me start playing the game. Now the funny thing is that any time I am in the settings/adjustments of the RFM the start button works to accept any of the settings quickly but just to try and play a game after adding credits it won't work or start a game... Very bizarre... I am hoping someone is local to me who has a pinbox setup so I could at least try out my computer on theirs to see if it has anything to do with my setup or if it maybe something still wrong with the power driver board or a wiring problem... It doesn't seem to be a wiring problem as the start button works as an accept button in RFM settings, but who knows. :unsure I'm in Frankston so anyone over this side of Melbourne who can help out would be absolutely fantastic and eternally in your debt!! :D Regards, Darren
  22. SOLD PENDING PAYMENT Hi all, I got this Sync Combiner Kit from the U.S and is brand new and never used. This is a new type of conversion kit that makes it easy to install a LCD into your old pin2000 PC Only asking what it owes me $85 plus postage.
  23. Unsure @furballx Had the opportunity to try the Power driver board in 2 other RFM's and the same problem occurred in the other machines so it is definitely the PDB, I've sent it off to @humpalot to see if he can work some magic :)
