  1. Hey Guys, For my website Hard--Candy.com I am looking for pictures and manuals of all Japanese Arcade Cabinets available. Right now I am focussing on the Namco Consolette. Do you own a Consolette and would you like to share the pictures / manual with me please let me know so I can update the database accordingly. Feel free to have a look around on the website. The website has been created so everyone can add pictures, manuals, flyers etc themselves. But if you prefer me doing so please feel free to reach out to me directly. Regards, Pieter
  2. Guys, just to give you a quick update, the map now has 424 arcade locations worldwide. If you have any more suggestions please let me know here or you can submit it through the website.
  3. Thanks for the suggestions Steptoe. I have added Nether World, they have an impressive collection. About Luna Park, do they only have pins? A youtube movie showed me they had arcade machines in 2008 as well but that was the only information I could find. Do you know if they also have gaming machines?
  4. Hey Slayer, the list is coming along slowly but steadily. However with the 350+ (b)arcades that are now on the map I am sure there are plenty more. So feel free to let me know if you are missing some arcades. Specifically I am trying to get more locations from Canada. I am sure we still have not covered all of this. If someone knows some locations there that would be awesome.
  5. Thanks for the input guys. This helped me a lot to get some inspiration on new games to collect. Throughout the web I received a lot of suggestions next to yours. Below you will find the short list as I had to prune the list substantially to make it manageable. I watched the longplays of the games and selected the following games to be on the list: Hammerin Harry Guardians / Denjin Makai 2 Deamon Bride Metamorphic Force In The Hunt Punisher Radiant Silvergun Soukyugurentai / Terra Diver Elevator Action Returns Deathsmiles Dodonpachi Daioujou Mushihimesama Double Dragon Xain'd Sleena Spy Hunter Sunset Riders Shark Attack Donkey Kong 3 Strider Breakers Revenge Air Buster / Aeroblasters Buta San Final Star Force Bubble Bobble Rainbow Islands Sprint 2 Parodius Da! Gokujyou Parodius! Sexy Parodius Violent Storm Bucky O'hare All Points Bulletin Time Soldiers Crackdown Black Tiger Black Dragon Robocop Smash TV Shadow Dancer Shadow Warriors Point Blank X-Men vs Street Fighter Twinkle Star Sprites And yes this is the short list... :redface ... if you would like to see the whole list just let me know :D Are there any games that we still miss?
  6. Hey Guys, I am looking to expand my collection of arcade games and in the meantime I think I have a nice understanding of what the best and greatest games are. I am however interested in understanding what your second most favorite games are. In other words which games are still the hidden gems of arcade games? Looking forward to your suggestions and it would be great to understand the reasons behind your choice as well. Regards, Pieter
  7. Thanks for the additions guys and let's keep them coming, I want all Aussie arcades on the map as long as they are accessable for the public and have at least 10 working arcade machines available. Currently we have 324 arcade locations on the map worldwide. Looking forward to finding many more! :D
  8. Right now I managed to get 257 locations on the map of which 1 in Bruce and 2 in Melbourne. Are there not more Arcades in Australia? Any tips or suggestions are highly appreciated. If you like the initiative please feel free to like the Facebook page here -> https://www.facebook.com/arcadeuniverse/ If you have locations in other parts of the world let me know as well.
  9. Hey Guys, I literally have 2 arcades in Australia on the map and that is it. Are there anymore worth mentioned to be put on the map? Any help is highly appreciated :D Check out the map here: http://www.arcadeuniverse.net/arcade-map/
  10. 200 on the map now. If you have more suggestions to add to the map please let me know. I still need 300 to reach my goal :D
  11. Thanks Angs1957! And as a little update I currently have 183 locations added to the map in total. :D
  12. Thanks for the welcome Jimmy (and all others of course) and thanks for the first Aussie arcade on the map! :D And a nice place it is. I love the Tolix barstools in yellow in combination with the rest. It looks great and vintagy!
  13. Guys, In the meantime I have managed to map 165 arcade locations on the map worldwide but I have none / zero for Australian. Is there anyone who can help me with some Australian arcades? Regards, Pieter
  14. Maybe this is a stupid response but have you already tried fiddling with the v-sync h-sync board? Is case you need to know it is under the control panel. As Homepin said maybe measure the 5v input of the gameboard / PSU and what the specific gameboard (PCB game) needs. Or do you already know that it does this with all games?
  15. Hey Guys, I just wanted to say hello! My name is Pieter and I am a Arcade enthusiast from The Netherlands. About 3,5 years ago I started the hobby within a Dutch community and in the meantime I have collected 4 cabs. I have a NAC, Sega Naomi rebuild/MAME, Woody with 2 slot MVS and recently bought a racing cab resto project to build a Outrun 2 setup. Recently I started to look for arcades to visit and noticed that information is scattered around the internet. Therefore I decided to start a project to create a map with all arcade locations worldwide on my website arcadeuniverse.net . Currently I already found 138 locations and I have set myself the goal to have 500 arcades on the map before the 1st of July. Next to an Arcade enthusiast I am also a husband and father of 2 sons, oldest being 5.5 years and the youngest being 1 year old. Both of them share the passion of blinking lights and loud speaker so I am sure the guys will follow in their fathers footsteps :D As said just wanted to say hi and love to hang out here to learn and read more about arcade gaming and sharing my knowledge with you guys as well. Regards, Pieter
