  6. Hey Limorange, you’re right and I understand the dangers of CRT’s and live chassis so I am always careful when working with or handling them. I appreciate everyone’s comments on this forum but I also like to learn so hence the questions. Anyhow, turns out that I had connected a higher ac voltage from the transformer tap which blew the F2 fuse. Ended up connecting the right tap voltage and replace the fuse and that worked.
  7. Thanks Limorange, do you know the best way to test the B+ voltage on these chassis? Is it a matter of measuring between the chassis frame and the high wattage resistor mounted to the frame? I've read that an incorrect B+ voltage maybe shutting down the chassis.
  8. There's probably no chance of finding this but thought i'd post and ask anyway. Got an old Toei CM-B14 monitor chassis that worked one moment and after power off decided to stop working. After a visual check i noticed that the heater element on the neck board (750v L9N) now is missing a leg. Would anyone have one or know where i could find one, rather not throw the chassis on the parts pile. Cheers Dave
