  1. Hello all Firstly Im so sorry with not following up since my time at PAX and the panel we did. Ive just been busy with work and Twitter...(trust me with the Twitter thing :o So I thought Id post up a video of the panel we did at PAX firstly Secondly this was an interview with Retro Man Cave from the UK who spent about 45 min talking about my time at Sega Finally here is a trailer for an upcoming film documentary about reto gaming here in Australia that is being put together by Michael Naim. For the past few months I have been contributing to his film and talking about my experiences and views on gaming. Michael is hoping for a release around mid 2020. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mzWMT2MALA If you have any questions, please dont hesitate to ask and I will get back to you as soon as I can :) Cheers Tim
  2. Oh...we'll be there! - - - Updated - - - Ah yes...bloody Alex Kidd...did you know it was the most common call we got for a game? Usually it was the last room where you had to run over the symbols.in this order Sun, wave, moon, star, sun, moon, waves, fish, star, fish.....this would complete the game :) - - - Updated - - - Actually no...we for me I didnt mind....it was my first job! I still say to this day I peaked way too early...LOL! At first it was a local/std call so you were charged at those rates, then it went to a 0055 then after the hotline got sold off, it went to a 1902 number...but when it went to 1902 the service dropped because they got rid of all of the original staff, they got people that wernt passionate about Sega and the staff were not allowed to play any of the games...so you could imagine how that went!
  3. If you gone know me already, my name is Tim! I used to work for Sega back in the early 90's on the Hotline! If you were stuck on a game, you called me and my colleagues to tell you the cheats and walk throughs for all of the Sega titles for the Master System and MD. Me and three other "Sega Masters" will be talking this Saturday the 12th of October at 11am Melbourne time at the EB Live Theater. We will talk about what it was like working for Sega, what our role involved and allot of amazing and funny stories we want to share! If you cant make it, it will be streamed live on Twitch on the PAX3 channel! Here are some links to follow https://aus.paxsite.com/schedule/panel/game-train-presents-the-sega-masters https://twitter.com/Segamastertim https://www.twitch.tv/pax/videos?filter=archives&sort=time I hope to see you there and please come up and say hi! Cheers for now gadzooks aka Segamastertim

  6. Lol yes it is....the funny thing is that I only picked it up recently when I went to Japan. I picked it up for $20 and it said that it had not been tested......tried it out...runs perfectly! I dont know about you, but I dont mind the yellowing of the plastic, I feel it gives it character. :) - - - Updated - - - Oh and I forgot to mention.....all of those mags underneath the couch are old gaming mags from the 80's and 90's
  7. That was the idea. It’s like my little surprise when people come around to my place for the first time haha! Visitor: The rooms pretty cool Me: How about this? (Opens cupboard) Visitor: OMFG! Haha! Sent from my iPhone using Aussie Arcade
  8. Thanks mate! I used 6 sheets of MDF, 5 wall slots with brackets. I didnt want a conventional shelving setup because it looked bland and it didn't utilise the space effectively. All up it set me back about $250 The next thing is some led lighting
  9. Thanks for asking! Everything there is just EXTRA!!!! and I mean everything thing! From eating, to going to the supermarket, going into the country, ordering dinner, onsens, hospitality, food, space and of course the arcades. I went to a couple of of them during my travels and sadly, like the rest of the arcades in the world, there are so many claw machines. But I went to a couple of the Sega arcades in Akihabara and at least they had a couple of levels dedicated to gaming. I really wanted to buy a console ore two, but I realised I was quickly running out of space plus having to lug around all of the extra luggage for the rest of the trip would have been a pain. Next time Im over there, I'll do my shopping at the end and not at the start.
  10. It’s been a long time since I’ve been on this site, but I’d thought I might share my room since my last post. In that time I’ve been able to acquire more games, March and trinkets. I also installed some shelves into the cupboard allowing me to display the games better and of course, collect more! I have also just come back from Japan and picked up a few things from there as well. Please don’t hesitate to ask me questions if you have any [emoji846] I hope you like Sent from my iPhone using Aussie Arcade
