  1. I've got a few promo plastics that I'd like to sell for $6 each (including postage). Big Guns Comet (w. protective film) Cyclone Orange Cyclone Blue Cyclone Blue (w. protective film) Grand Lizard Space Station Space Station (w. protective film) Also, a right-hand slingshot plastic from Johnny Mnemonic. I'm pretty sure Bwodie gave me this so I will give it away to the first person who shows they need it. Will post as needed - I will wrap the plastic between 2 pieces of cardboard and send it in an envelope. Thank you
  2. I've got a number of framed pinball machine flyers, a full size framed TOTAN poster than I was given from someone here on the forums, and a framed Junkyard translite that I'd like to sell. See here I'm asking $50 for the lot, pickup from Adelaide Hills or Marleston (nr Adelaide Airport). The small frames are 23 x 32cm: Dracula Lord of the Rings Whirlwind Johnny Mnemonic Monopoly Black Rose The Junkyard translite is 67cm x 46cm The TOTAN poster is 56cm x 72cm
  3. Hi all, First I apologise for pissing a whole lot of people off. I misinterpreted the forum rules - simple as that. Second, I apologise for going to ground over the last couple of weeks. When the shit goes down, you better be ready and unfortunately I wasn't. Third, I managed to move the machines to someone local in a bulk deal for a price I couldn't refuse. I know you'll all be pissed off, but when you need to get as much coin as you can because your life has been pretty much ****ed over, well I come first. And hey - the most you missed out on was a nice machine. Right now I'm dealing with an 11 year old who is screaming she hates me and wishes I would die ;) and that's just a little more important. For those of you who offered support - thank you I appreciate it. Sorry again A contrite David
  4. OK I understand that I may have upset a few of you. In fairness, my interpretation of rule 3 says that if I want people to make me an offer, I must post a reserve price, which I did. RULE 3: ... If you want people to make you an offer, then you must post a reserve price.
  5. Hi all, Thanks for all your PMs. I'm hoping I haven't broken the rules by stating a reserve price of $4000 instead of a fixed price. If I have then I apologise. Look - the bottom line I'm getting a divorce so I want at least $4K. What do I do here - ask you all to PM me with your best offer? Is that legit? Sorry for the confusion. David
  6. I need to sell my HUO Pirates due to a change in family circumstances. Relevant points: All receipts etc (purchased from AMD) All original packaging. Will pack and strap with blue plastic strapping for an extra $100. User manual personally signed by Dennis Nordman (designer) and Brian Sullivan (software) Machine is located in the Adelaide Hills and welcome for inspection. Reserve price of $4000 - this is as clean and original a machine as you can get and has probably had less than 40 hours total game time. Pictures: Overall Backbox CPU Playfield Top Playfield Mid Playfield Bottom Playfield Under Interior Cabinet Side Serial Number PM me if you're interested.
  7. I have a genuine HUO LOTR and am the original owner. I have the original box and packaging as well and can provide as many photos as you want. Also available for inspection if you want (Adelaide Hills). PM me if you're interested.
  8. I'm about to start a divorce sale and I do have a JD that I will want to move. I bought it off Bwodie a few years ago when I was living in Sydney (I'm in SA now). Also have the deadworld mod kit but never installed it. It does have the original eagle that I repaired. It's currently broken thanks to my cat. Let me know if you're interested; I'm happy to provide photos etc.
  9. Awesome thanks Tony; gives me enough to get going :) Still regret running out of cash and not buying that Joker Poker from you a few years ago. Cheers David ---------- Post added at 09:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:02 PM ---------- Yeah; I'm trying to use solenoids that have much less throw than the typical EM/pinball coils, so creating significantly more travel is the issue... Believe it or not, Lego Technics is amazing for playing around with mechanisms like this (or is it just me?).
  10. Hi All, Long time since I've posted (an interstate move tends to take over life), so hi to Brodie if he's still here. My project is too early to talk about, but would anyone be able to provide me with some detailed photographs about how the targets in the old EM gun games (eg Chicago Coin, Williams etc) work? I want to understand how the mechanism that moved those targets 90 degrees from laying down flat to being visible to the player worked. As I recall, some of those games had variations where enemies would pop into view from windows in buildings etc. I'm trying to prototype my own solenoid mechanism to do this, but my skills lie in electronics and software, not the mechanicals. Thanks David
  11. Sorry everyone - sold it this morning to my brother-in-law for my asking price. Thanks for your interest.
  12. Apologies my friend - life has been crazy busy down here. Everything is starting to settle down, but I've had to make some hard calls mainly because I won't be getting my shed for another couple of years and I need the cash :D I sold JM before I left Sydney. Got $2800 for it, which was nice. For those who have expressed interest, this weekend I will: * Clean and re-rubber the machine * Fit the two flipper rebuild kits * Take lots of pictures
  13. Looking for expressions of interest for a Judge Dredd, with rebuilt topper, not shopped. Will include: DeadWorld Mod and ROM Re-rubber kit Flipper rebuild kit I bought this off Bwodie a couple of years ago, but since moving from Sydney to Adelaide and building a new house, I'm out of cash, out of time and have no man-shed in which to rebuild this one (and won't for a couple of years dammit). You can see what I do to the pins I *do* rebuild here. Asking $2400, which is what it cost me to get down here and get the rebuild bits and pieces.
  14. I used a long-bladed scalpel that I got from a hobby store. As others have said, use a piece of cardboard or a placemat to protect the artwork, and slide the blade between the siderail and the cab. Do it slowly and take your time.
