  1. Yes, that's pretty much it. No serious issues at all with those files, just some of the PDF's on there have superficial differences compared to the layout, scale or formatting of the originals. I am just having a crack at trying to replicate something as close as possible to the originals with the typo's fixed up. The people who put the stuff together on Pinball Rebel do great work and I'm certainly not detracting from anything they have done... :)
  2. Hi John, no I don't have a copy in my TZ so no pic unfortunately. All my other machines had the tech chart inside except the TZ. What Ocyen linked to above is pretty much it. They are often just larger than A3 size (although some are smaller) and they are usually on the back of the lamp board panel in the backbox or inside the cabinet. They have a summary of the fuse, lamp matrix, switch matrix and solenoid/flasher info etc. Let me know if you have anything like this mate - good excuse for a catch up!
  3. Hi everybody, I am looking around to see if anybody has an original tech chart in for TZ. When I picked up my machine long ago it never had the tech chart in it... I am well aware that pinball rebel has these as PDF copies on their website, but I have downloaded a few of these in the past and they can be a little bit different than the originals - still a great resource though. I have been gradually recreating the tech charts for my machines directly from the originals (with minor changes to fix any errors I find). If you have a copy of the original TZ tech chart that you could lend to me I will happily give you a fresh copy once I have drawn it all - preferably in the Brisbane area... Thanks as always!!!
  4. Sold through another website. Thanks :)
  5. Sold elsewhere. Thanks for looking!:)
  6. Some people have asked me about my recent experience brass plating ramps at S.Cook & Sons in Brisbane. Rather than re-write anything, I have put some photos and feedback in this thread: https://www.aussiearcade.com/forum/p...e3#post2123328 I hope this helps somebody!
  7. I recently got my ramps restored. I looked at several options to put a new 'brass' finish on the ramps. 1) Buttered brass powdercoat with a clear coat. This looks great when done on a polished surface. One of the places that I looked at quoted $180 for all of the ramps (and a few under playfield pieces). Here is a sample photo: 2) Cosmichrome paint and then tinted gold candy in a clearcoat then ceramic coated over. This would cost $600-$700 3) Brass plating. This is the option I chose to go with. In Queensland there are 2 options for brass plating - GC Electroplating and S.Cook & Sons. I decided to try S.Cook & Sons as I hadn't heard much feedback about them. Somebody had to give them a go. The parts were $60 each, 6 parts total. This included plating and 2 pak clearcoating. They had to send most of their staff home during the early stages of COVID lockdowns, so I did have to wait a while for them to finish the work. I also found some 'spotting' on the ramps when I picked them up, and they were happy to re-plate them when I showed them. They said they guarantee their work. Also, at no stage did I feel like there was a risk of my parts getting lost, something that other guys on here have had issues with elsewhere. Here are a few photos: BEFORE AND AFTER I hope that helps some of you. I also installed some bright annealed Railways rails and some mirror polished hinges to match the chrome legs and lockdown bar. Super shiny!!!

  10. Haha. Thanks John. I'd lower the price if I could. Maybe a generic brand can of coke instead? Haha There may be an interested person now anyway.
  11. Bump. Just to confirm, this gear is free...
  12. Good question. ABS does give off some fumes - a really "plasticy" smell. To be honest, these days I pretty much stick to PLA because it is so easy to work with. All the printers I have used have been enclosed and had heated platforms. This is pretty important for ABS, otherwise it contracts and lifts from the platform. It does help with most materials too (just using different temperatures).
  13. I have done the primer coat in the past - it works well. Another option is to print with ABS and then do an acetone vapour bath. I suspend the parts in a tin with a teaspoon of acetone in the bottom and then pour hot water over the tin. It works really well, but more than that, the process is really cool. You can hear the acetone vaporising at a low temperature. When you open the tin the parts are all smooth and shiny.
  14. I'm trying to clear some space a bit at a time. Here is a bunch of white rubbers, some screws and a keyless lock from Pinball Life. There is also a flipper rebuild base that I cut and laser engraved. Free! or if you absolutely insist on paying, I need a few Williams rubber grommets for flippers assemblies. Or a cold can of coke... I don't really mind :) Pick up only. I reserve my right to pick who they go to.
