  1. Morning, I'm interested in the rollercoaster wireforms but cannot find them on the list, how much are you after for them? cheers
  2. if you can source the blank eproms i can reprogram them for you if you want.
  3. Cheers guys, i was thinking about sanding them back but as you said you would then loose the decal and possibly take to much off. i have absolutely no artistic abilities so im not going to attempt touching up the playfield. i see CPR playfields have a re run going at the moment on firepower..
  4. Hi, So for a while now the cupped 1-6 inserts on my firepower playfield have been annoying me. nothing worse then watching a ball go in a completely random direction to its normal trajectory all due to a raised insert. So yesterday I bit the bullet and did some firepower surgery. I thought I might share my attempt to flatten the old inserts here incase anyone else is thinking of doing this might learn from what I did, I am interested to hear what you think of my first attempt at fixing anything playfield related. I started off removing the old inserts from the playfield, using a scalpel I removed as much of the old glue from underneath the PF, I read in a few places that warming up the glue makes them easier to remove however I didn’t end up applying any heat to the inserts while removing them as I was worried about damaging more of the surrounding paintwork etc. I found the easiest way to remove them was by applying a little pressure to the insert via a small flathead jeweler’s screwdriver at the bottom of the insert from the underside of the PF, then slowly moving around the edge until the glue came free. most of my inserts were no longer being held by much glue so they came out quite easily. Unfortunately I forgot to take a before picture of how raised the inserts were in the PF. After removing them all I decided I was going to try the method of flattening them with my heatgun, I have seen this mentioned before so here goes nothing! I came up with a plan to sandwich the insert between two old tiles in the vice, obviously using the smooth flat sides on the insert. The tiles seemed to work well, they retained the heat for a little while after applying the heatgun which allowed the insert to slowly cool off. While applying heat I started off at a low temp and slowly worked up, never holding the gun on one spot for longer than a second. At the same time I was also closing the vice a little bit at a time to flatten them out. Once I could no longer see the curve of the inserts in the vice I stopped the heatgun and let the insert cool off. All seemed to go well and they are now nice and flat again.. I reinstalled them into the PF excited to feel a nice flat surface. Unfortunately when I turned firepower on I quickly noticed something I did not see when they were in the vice, when the insert lights up you can now see hairline cracks, they are only visible when you get the angle just right. All in all I thought it went reasonably well, and now I can no longer blame my bad games on the 1-6 inserts. a bit of a shame about the hairline cracks but overall the game now plays a hell of a lot better. anyway, thanks for reading :) Allan

  10. Hi all, I have been looking into doing a pin golf pub crawl with the rules based around objectives per machine, as venues change their lineup from time to time i have been trying to find if someone has a list of goals or "Par" suggestions for various machines. the pin golf format sounds like it could be a lot of fun as long as you have the correct goals set for the table. I am no expert on rules so i thought i would put it out to the world here :) I think the current machines on route are, LOTR Munsters pre GOT pro startreck pro WOZ Ghostbusters pre Demolition man ACDC vault Iron maiden pre Also looking for suggestions on other machines as well, any help is much appreciated Cheers, Allan
  11. Display arrived well packaged and works like a treat. Thanks a ton :) Allan
