  1. Nice one Evan. I got mine last week as well and I'm already half way through! The interviews are great. It was nice to read Tracey's insights and hear from the champions and arcade legends in Redelf and DBH. If we play any of the games in the book it should serve as a solid introduction on how to play them as well. Maybe it'll even bring in some new names and faces to the MGL fold. Speaking of which; school holidays start for me very soon which can only mean MGL 59 is fast approaching...*feels the excitement of the impending first coin drop*. 😉
  2. Pessimeister 53, 900 Got to give myself half a chance. After proving unworthy of the "Way of the Colored Shorts", I switched back to the "Way of the Stunlock Try Hard" and this was the result. Annoying game but one has to not get "fatally furious" with it. 😉
  3. I think he's pretty safe - I'd need some help from other players at this point. Murdering my joystick on Fatal Fury isn't going to help matters. 😄 Maybe I need to seek enlightenment in colored shorts like Ace.
  4. I went into the last day hoping Wan would win but also did my best to go higher - the game really was a tough grind to improve on! Thumbing/liking her scores when they were happening - we were there living those moments with her for sure here on Aussie Arcade as she was improving. It was fantastic to witness! The Strike Force result I sense really motivated her to go for it; the energy really came through. And thus the ASO scores were quite amazing. They certainly helped push me that little further. Hearty congratulations once more to @Wan1993!
  5. Speaking of vertical scrolling shooters, I did get mightily distracted by a nice one called "Crisis Wing" over the new years summer break. I bought it for $5 during the Winter Steam sales. Best money I spent all summer! The game is well made and was clearly created as a bit of a tribute to the Toaplan shooters of the late 80s and early 90s. Games like Truxton, Truxton II and Grind Stormer come to mind. There's some fun modes like Boss Rush and Time Attack. Plus it has high score saving and achievements which make it a neat package. For those who are curious: The Steam Page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1402090/Crisis_Wing/ And a 1cc video to spoil yourself a bit: Good astro-fighting all! Cheers PEZ
  6. Pessimeister: 4910 It figures that someone who smashed us all on Galaxian at the start of the year would end up nominating something like this. 🙄
  7. Pessimeister: 17, 470 Too many silly mistakes. 🤔
  8. Pessimeister: 16, 350 I think the game is kind of growing on me; a major part of that is due to the cheerful early 80s tunes in it. 🙂
