  1. This may be a silly question, but with 2 player car cabs where the montors are side by side, if one of the monitors could do with some attention from a degauss wand how would you go about it? Wouldn't degaussing one montor stuff the other one?
  2. Agreed, its good fun fighting against mates over a few beers. Myself and a few mates are actually having one of our regular SF2 tourneys tomorrow night. We have a WWE championship belt that the winner takes home. The game is great fun for that kind of thing, but i can't get in to the single player side of it.
  3. Generally i've found that if gamecopyworld.com or megagames.com doesn't have a patch for a game, then no patch is needed.
  4. Suprisingly good if you ask me! I left my VR cab running unattended for a couple of hours, and when i returned both screens where stuffed. After plenty of hair pulling i sent the chassis off to jomac for repair. It was then that i noticed the fan near the chassis had died, so my best guess is that the monitors may have over heated and cooked themselves :unsure
  5. Have you tried simply burning a copy with something like CloneCD? From memory not all the PS1 games needed to be patched.
  6. cost me about $130 to get a set of virtua racing boards from the US, but there's what, 13 boards or something stupid like that in that game :rolleyes
  7. D.O.B - 1979, Second gen for me. Spending hours upon hours playing River Raid on the atari 2600 is my earliest memory.
  8. I used to do nothing but Xecuter chips, but now i just soft mod with ndure. Its easy and its free.
  9. What make / model chassis is it? And can you take a photo of the problem?
  10. Thanks for the link jaspar. Yeah this one was in terrible shape when i got it, the inside had been totally eaten / urinated on by rats so i bought a new set of boards from the states. The shipping was a killer, but worth it. I love this game.
  11. That sounds familiar. Thanks, i'll check it out.
  12. Cheers. That sounds very similar and should help widen the searcg result.
  13. Hi all, My Virtua Racing cab works great for the most part, but after running for a couple of hours the player one side stops rendering 3d graphics. There is no track or car, just sky and grass. Restarting the machine fixes the problem (for a while at least). I recall about a year ago reading somewhere about a similar problem where as the board heats up some pins or traces can lift off the pcb and cause this kind of problem, but I can't for the life of me find that info again. Does this sound plausible, or familiar to anyone? Any help much appreciated. Cheers
  14. Cheers guys. Yeah I was going mad staring at the chassis trying to find a fault that wasn't there. Couldn't believe it was that simple :rolleyes
