  1. Hi, Just wanted to show my (almost) finished arcade cabinet build. I got the plans etc from "project mame" and really enjoyed the process. Importantly I want to thank everyone who has posted about a build, or asked a question about a build, because I have been lurking on here for years before I finally took the plunge and started building. I only did so after being inspired by other people great builds....so thank you everyone. It is a budget build, under $700 total cost. I may do a seperate post detailing the graphics, I did them myself. They are HD pics from the movie, posters etc then merged together in GIMP (free photoshop). Whole thing printed on Tyvek at office works and glued on using PVA glue. Will probably discuss it in more detail as it turned out great and only cost $39 per side! Only have to put in the light for the marquee. I got the hardware from Austin Amusements in Australia and it is running a Pandora box DX with about 3500 games. If you have questions or I can help please ask away. Cheers all Steve
  2. Hi all... thanks for the replies....and the plans they are exactly what I was looking for..... I have also now seen supremicus build log and i think it is the way i will go.... Of course now i am thinking of putting my music hardrive in there and making it a jukebox too!! hmmmm so much to think about..... Incidently I am a very slow and steady worker...so this may take some time...but it will get done.... when i built the projector they had PLOGS...where you could post the progress of your projector....it would be a cool thing here too i reckon. Cheers all Steve
  3. hi Everyone... New member here....i have completed several projects including guitars...amps...furniture and my most recent was a movie projector...(lumenlab) mostly made from recycled or previously used parts. Most of these were completed with the help of online communities just like this. I would like to build a mame upright...and really like the shape and size of the lowboy. I am VERY budget concious...but quite handy with the tools.... Are there any plans for a lowboy cab anywhere? I have searched but not found anything....though a few guys say they used plans in their build logs? Anyway hi to all..... cheers Steve
