Strangeways
I have the original Dremel Tool, which is expensive compared to the other brands. It has several variable speed settings, which is important to set depending on the bit that is being used. I don't buy original dremel bits, as they are waaaay too expensive. I just buy the cheap sets. It's a tool that I use fairly often.

silverball
I have an Ozito Rotary Tool from Bunnings - cost me $45 with a two year warranty and about 100 bits and pieces and a remote type extnesion thing for precison stuff for pinball stuff has been great and the price is about a third of a dremel Got the same rotary tool from Bunnings....Excellent. Not a tool that you use every day but when it is needed it is priceless. Used it a heap on my machines, paid about $45 dollars as RIC mentioned with 2 year warranty........it fails after that, throw it away and buy another for the same price with all accessories again.:)
Scotty T
Myself I got a Dremel, plug in power type. I too buy the cheap bits for it, from Super Cheap. never has failed me in the 3 years of owning it!
OzStick
They are very handy little things to have. Just make sure the one you go for uses the most common type of bit - the last thing you want to see happen is that you can't get inexpensive replacements for it, such as from Super Cheap as Savage mentioned..... GEMINI
Dremel I Have about three cheapies. Super handy even the cheap ones (apparently they are a good gift for family and friends to give me at xmas) have killed one previously but have learnt that if they are struggling with the load , then you should be using a bigger tool. Now they last ages.
