The Pinny Parlour
Hi all, Anyone is computers that install winblows knows there are currently around 70-odd updates. I have tried doing a search but have found little. I'm after a way of putting these onto a cd for general installation on new systems. I have heard of torrent files that enable one to download a updater disc but I can't seem to locate it. Help please.
feeras
http://www.autopatcher.com/ has executables where you chose what updates you need... and not need... without doing it through Windows there was a website which allowed you to alter your slipstreamed cds to include updates.... i think it just alters the relevant files as necessary... sorry... i just know it's out there forgot where it was as I wanted the autopatcher instead... good luck mate Edit: found it: http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/updatepack.html

candyflip
What if the PC you're installing does NOT have internet connectivity, nor ever likely will. And you still need to do the patches.... jon

Doesn't your Windows Update program solution run from the internet? How do you get the updates on there if you are not connected?

How do you get the updates on there if you are not connected? if your not connected then it may be to your advantage to find someone in your area who may d/l the data for you and cut to cd. if push comes to shove i will do it for you to help you out
comrade.vader
you can run pcs not connected to the internet as in frozen in time. like a 98se computer that dials up the ge money finance mainframe, or customers that bulk bank though a secure connection & they dont use the internet on that pc. Or even a 133mhz running a wheel alignment software (doesn.t even have a fan on its processor or heat sink) & hasn't been turned off in 3 years. what im saying if the pc has no requirement for the internet then whats the point of updating ? because ? if it aint broke why fix it. That is amazing. the reason the called me out adobe 3.0 didn't work (nearly burst out laughing) downloaded version 8 and avg free. i think they struggle to find the ON button.
