Kangaroo to Funky Fish

More Time on my hands due to busted back so....

Kargaroo is probably the most underated of the classic's and can be picked up cheaply, last Bootleg i bought was for 12 bucks, even the originals are dirt cheap. Problem is they have no resale value so your better off either scrapping them for parts or convert it to the only other game on the hardware Funky Fish.

The Prof had a look at the mame driver last night and found it so I decided to put it to the test seeing as i have 3 Kangaroos anyway.

Rom swap is easy, you need the set fnkyfish.zip from mame. On a original Kangaroo its pretty easy to see where the roms go from the names but on the bootleg the rom markings are missing off the pcb eg:ROM0, ROM1, ROM v0 ROM v1 etc but the IC positions remain the same on both.

Funky Fish rom / Original,Bootleg Position.

tvg_64.0 /IC7 Program

tvg_65.1 /IC8 Program

tvg_66.2 /IC9 Program

tvg_67.3 /IC10 Program

tvg_68.8 /IC24 Sound

Bottom PCB---------------------

tvg_69.v0 /IC76 Video

tvg_70.v1 /IC52 Video

tvg_71.v2 /IC77 Video

tvg_72.v3 /IC53 Video

NOTE: Kangaroo uses 2 extra program roms TVG79 @ IC16 and TVG80 @ IC17, these must be removed and are not needed for Funky Fish.

Works perfect on Original or Bootleg Kangaroo.
