Aussie arcade collector on TV next Friday.

Aussie arcade collector on TV next Friday. Should be good viewing.

Friday 4 August

Adelaide’s Paul Smith has one of the most envied sheds in Australia. The obsessive collector of pinball machines and arcade games has created his own amusement arcade and permanent backyard party venue where the whole family love to play.

lots of big collectors want to remain virtually anonymous - it allows them to enjoy their collections in peace without being badgered to sell them or worse have people come and nick machines.

i guess national TV coverage will kill that though

YouTube automatically resizes and re-encodes video. It will come out a reasonable size for streaming (ie: ugly and small).

YouTube it by all means for convenience, but consider also chucking it up on a torrent tracker somewhere in original VOB/WMV HD quality for everyone to share.

or XviD it.

As long as it retains the original resolution and a decent quality, any compression codec will do. YouTube as mentioned changes the resolution, and compresses the living crap out of it, making it ugly as my dog's butt.

XVid is nice, of course, because it's free (as in freedom, as well as cost).

I don't want his name or address, just his AUSSIE ARCADE USER NAME :D so we can put a collection to name.
