A big hello from Bonny Scotland

Recommended Posts

Well, after joining up here a good while back I thought it was about time I made at least one post and introduce myself.

I am in my 40's and from the south east coast of Scotland and have had a passion for everything arcade from a very young age. I used to live 20 yards from the local arcade so spent most of my time in there playing those very early video games.

I completed my first cocktail cabinet approx. 1 year ago before I found this place. It is just a generic cab but has provided many hours of drunken entertainment for me and my friends / family and it's great watching the kids play games that are 10 to 12 years older than them and really enjoying it although they wont admit it.(They call the cocktail cabinet the arcade gramaphone):rolleyes

Anyhow, after scouring the site looking for inspiration for my next project I have decided that I like the look of the Williams Robotron cocktail that was built a few months back so I think I will base my next project on something simular using a 25" or 28" Hantarex EQB3 monitor. I will post my project in the relevant section when I get it of the ground hopefully next month.

Paul.

Welcome to AA :D

How about posting some pictures of your cocktail?

And I for one will be looking forward to your Robotron cocktail build :041:

Regards,

Johns-Arcade.

Cheers guys.

I will post some pics when I manage to upload some hopefully later tonight.

I managed to procure a 25" Hantarex MTC EQB3 today with no screen burn so it looks like I may be making a start on my next project soon.

As for the weather, It was a nice sunny 14 deg centigrade today. Now I know that must sound pretty cold to most of you lot but it was warm enough for a drive in my car with the roof down for the first time this year.:)
