LED Kits

Greg (RTBB) has pretty much all the ones you need (for inserts/playfields) but you will need to work out exact numbers / type.....

I've done it for two machines myself from there and turned out great...

Was it expensive to do a full pin, buying individual leds?

same but i think hes chasing prefabed stuff. Greg is the only one who sells pinball LED's in aus i know of. I personally make my own and I don't use them in the GI either. LED's were never meant for AC voltage unless they are fully bridged. What happens if you have a game like FH or STTNG that uses a dimming effect the LED's won't really dim but start flickering and even blinking.

It depends on what machine. I did my T2 - All inserts with matching colours and all playfield flashers as well. The result was really really good.

I would not do them for G.I as the std globes do a better job.

I also did the inserts in my LAH. Really worth while. I had a D.E Simpsons, would not do any on it as it didn't suit the game.

My Getaway - considering at this stage.

For the T2, was a little dear because of the #89 flashers but really bright! From memory it was about $250 or thereabouts for the inserts plus some spares. The prices have gone up a bit since the dollar crashed. I would recommend buying a handful of colours from Greg and putting them in and see if you like it....Some people only do the backglass/translite......

Did my WH20 with LED's from Greg and yes when they dim they flicker but the overall affect is great I think-just plug them in and off you go, I've done mine with change out of $50 but having said that I only replaced a certain section..There where 2 that where in un-covered areas and they look to bright while playing so for those 2 globes I put coloured comdons on:lol and they look great.
