terry007
Hi Arcadeing brothers.....A friend of mine has just bought a Pole Position cab. He bought it not working. His problem is when its switched on the screen comes on and you can start the game. Then the screen goes blank, but the game continues with sound. I know this is not an ideal fault finding method, but is there anything I should tell him to look at/try first? Thanks in advance.
0 Davefjedi
Sounds like a chassis issue what is the model number It may just need some caps replaced best ask Jomac
0 terry007
Do you mean the chassis model number? I will find out.
0 li_gangyi
The chassis is the "monitor' portion of the cabinet. A good picture of the monitor board will be good. Does the screen go off regardless of whether you have started a game? (ie. even if left alone after turning it on, the screen will black out.) 0 serviceit
If it powers up ok and then goes black, check the obvious first i.e. remove the chassis and check for any dry joints and or broken tracks. Note, read the other articles on removing the HV cap and make sure the power is off and the plug removed.

0 Prof
If it's the original chassis, throw it out and get a joemac chassis, save the headache

Thanks in advance.
