felixthadog
It doesn't worry me, I hate new cars, but it might be of interest to some. http://business.timesonline.co.uk/tol/business/industry_sectors/transport/article5851570.ece Matthew
biggeorge
Oh well........ :) Genetically Modified cars shouldn't be allowed on the market anyhow. ;)
pinballfred
Is anyone a Holden fan as Gm Holden will go with them. Holden have already taken 10 days production out of every month. their prices have gone through the roof to cover it. Anyone in Aust that works for Walker, munroe, trw etc will go aswell. Jobs will go all over the place other than Holden and the Goverment cant bail them out as Gm U.S will just take the cash back to the U.S.. All of their panels are made in china and have been for along time and the chinese are just as fucked. Would say Holden is doomed and if they just scrape it in gone are the days of 20 different types of hsv's on the showroom floor and as they own Daewoo more holdens will be rebadged Dogwoos.. :D If the government had any balls they would remove all stamps and taxes off australian built cars. biggeorge
No, if the government had balls they'd relax the retarded grey import laws and we will start seeing some truly amazing Japanese cars that have more than 2 doors.... Like New Zealand has. My ($10k) 93 Toyota Soarer V8 has more power than any 1990's commode V8, more luxury items, better fuel economy, *NEVER* breaks down and will munch all but the most extravagent HSV models from a standing start. Hate to say it, but the Japs build better cars, cheaper. Bring on the 2.5 litre turbo subaru grey imports like NZ has and we will all be able to afford QUALITY family cars that aren't korean (that bust open like a coke can in a prang) and aren't European (That cost 6x the price to repair than Jap or Local cars.) If nothing else came of it, this would at least make the Bathurst race somewhat interesting again. 2x Brands (Red vs Blue) = BORING!! Wouldn't it be nice to see an RX8 in the mix, or a few WRX's, or a V8 Lexus ripping it up the Fords at Bathurst next year?? :D

My mate has a quad cam V8 from a soarer in his FJ ute. Its excellent, smooth as. Not overly powerful though. I'll take the pepsi challenge with any soarer. Administrators Arcade King Posted March 7, 2009 Administrators Share Posted March 7, 2009 Holden stopped being Holden IMO after the last HZ rolled off the production line.

If it wasn't my wife's car it would have been converted to a 5 speed a long time ago and had some form of forced induction. Bloody nice cars for the money though.
