Locating a bolt

gints

Question

Hey guys,

Just taking my Congo apart piece by piece and giving her a clean etc. and I snapped a bolt, just managed to find out part number im pretty sure:

02-4425-1

Just wondering if anyone in Bris had any of these spare I could fix them up for? Seems silly to place an order from Melb for a bolt when I already have everything else I need.

For reference they are the 8/32" double male threaded bolt with a fixed nut used to secure the top star post on the RHS sling shot.

G'day mate,

I used to have a Congo . I'm not sure if I have any spares left but I'll check and if I have one I'll send it to you. ... Can you let me know the length of it so I know the right one if I find one.

Cheers,

Scott.

No bolt company in Australia will have the bolt he needs

We have it on our site

thats a big statement right there

out of interest sake i would still give boltmasters a call get see cos they reckon if they dont have it they will get it

well it is a custom bolt used on pinballs only, so unless the bolt company manufactures these for a pinball manufacturer, they won't have it.

They may be able to get any STANDARD bolt but this is not standard and as has been said, no one but a pinball parts supplier would have it.

double ended male threaded with a fixed nut. So would be very unlikely an identical bolt exists for any other purpose I suppose, so many variables: length, thickness, thread lengths, nut positioning, thread pitch etc. etc.

well it starts as a pce of 1/4" hex rod, then on a lathe machined down to a round shaft with 2 tapped threads on both ends

mmmmmm.... interesting

in curious now, you have me intrigued

we have a bolt masters here.

got a photo of one and some dimensions of it.

boltmasters reckon if they aint got a bolt in stock they will find it

sounds like a challenge to me

if you give me some info on it i will give it to them to see what they come up with

Good luck, overall length is 2 3/8 0f an inch, top thread is 5/8 long ,thread size is 8/32 both ends, nut size is 5/16th hex.IF you can find them cheaper than $2 each I will have 50

And Zed ,that nut in the pic that Gibo posted is actually part of the shaft , NOT a nut screwed onto the thread .

These would be better described as a THREADED POST rather than a bolt IMO.

Oh and gints I had a look through my spares today but don't have one .. sorry .
