My custom 360 arcade stick

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Considering how hard it is to purchase hori and madcatz fightsticks at the moment due to the release of SFIV I purchased a Sanwa joystick and Semitsu buttons and had a go at making my own.

I also purchased a pre hacked madcatz controller as well.

Keep in mind I'm terrible at wood work ;)

It's not actually finished jsut yet, have a wiring kit in the mail that should be arriving tomorrow. Plenty of things I should have done differently but was a rewarding experience making it.

My biggest mistake was the height of the wood, I originally planned to use US style pushbuttons that are quite long, but as I ended up using Semitsu buttons I could have knocked a couple of centimetres off the height.

Hopefully wouldn't make such a mess of the plexi next time either :)

Hehe I remembered you used skirting/architrave wood dm and bought some at bunnings ;)

You don't need to worry about competition, frankly with the amount of work involved I think you should be charging more.

Went through an entire can of spray paint, next time I think i'll just use some good quality wood and stain it.

Bought the hacked controller from HarumaN on http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/
