Pinball wanted for nephews/nieces in Kinglake

Recommended Posts

Hi guys

I'm John from Scotland. I own a safecracker, Dredd, Apollo 13,Getaway,Swords of fury & Stern Stars

I have family who need cheering up a bit in Kinglake after the fires.3 x teenage nephews & neice

Looking to buy a machine in Oz, get it delivered & setup at their house in Kinglake, Victoria.

This is not a scam!! lol. I will let the money clear before you set off with the machine, I'm working on pinball community trust here

I'm looking for a cheap! DMD machine with decent gameplay & rules, dont offer me any streetfighter II s or Popeyes' :-)

Thinking along the lines of No Fear, Getaway, Dredd, Shadow, Batman Forever - mid price, not necessarily collector quality 2k ' ish?

Hope you get the jist of what I'm looking for, just a machine they can gather round together and have some fun.

email me on jnhiggins@lineone.net ( I dont know if this board emails when I have a reply?)

thanks

John Higgins

also posted on another forum :-)

Had a few replies but only from dealers.........$$$

I would think , he would be better off buying them some clothing, furniture or some personal items, that they may need more then a pinball at this present time of their lives.

Can the admins check out if this guy is for real or not.

Each to their own I spose. I think there have been plenty of clothes and the like donated. They may have had a pinball machine and lost it...who knows. :unsure

From his original post, I think he is looking to give them something a bit different to take their minds off things.

Of course Im for real

Yes, there is an island of 5 houses left, and theres was lucky enough to be one of them.

Food, clothing, donations and other things that we have been able to help with, from afar.

Ok- maybe a pin is a bit nuts at the current time - I dont think so

My brother & sister in law send their kids over on their year out, they live with me & my wife- I send them home pinheads.

Thanks for the offers so far( of group) but I'm still looking

cheers

John

or, we could unload your unwanted Street Fighter pinball machine at my house...the "unique" backglass artwork can be overlooked in the pursuit of pinball fun...and that's what it's really all about.

Hi Guys

For the record, I've nothing really against Streetfighters. and admit I havent played one for a long time.... no offense to any SFII owners :-)

The Safecracker - I got a call from a truck driver friend who drove by, not sure if it was even a pinball but he called to let me know in case I wanted to check it out. I did, and couldnt believe that someone had thrown it out(the pub was getting demolished for a new one - I bought him some beer :-) lots

Its now about 90% rebuilt - need wings and tokens to complete, will post some pics soon. Has taken nearly a year now!

T-shirt, yeah I could send you over a "Soapdodger Pinball" T shirt (should have a couple spare) if you send yours to my niece at Kinglake we have a deal :-)

email me your details

cheers again guys

Just a follow up on this thread.

In a pic that John had posted I noticed a Glasgow Soap-dodgers Pinball Shirt he was wearing & asked if he had a spare would he send me one.:unsure

I received a nice surprise in the mail this week, a Soap-dodgers shirt arrived.:D

Thanks heaps John, & don't worry I will wear it to all of our meets with pride.

Your a legend & if you ever need help with anything again, contact me direct & I will get it sorted for you.

I'm sorry that your request to help your niece was met with some skepticism & I personally didn't do more to help you as you are obviously a genuine nice guy.:023:

My part of the deal is in the post to your Niece.

Thanks heaps John.
