help or parts for your pinball

Question

hi if anyone in Sydney requires parts or help with their pinballs send us a message and I' ll put you in contact with a guy who lives and breathes pinballs (I'm not being mysterious about him , I cant ask you to contact him as he is deaf & dumb) But can fix anything involved with pinball

I know the guy, but he cant fix electronics

 

He did some work for Del on the old Ems, Great fixing them, when it comes to board repairs, well Nuff Said

Sounds like Dumby John (sorry, that was his nick name). If it's the same guy he has been around a long time and I actually worked with him at the Big Top in Sydney back in the early 80's. As you say Wayne, very good skills mechanically and he could fix any EM.

It's not anything negative, it's the era bought up working on.

 

Most of the older guys are great on Ems, most guys in the Industry now are more electronic Guys.

 

I don't doubt he can replace a few coils and parts on some later ones, just no where near what he is a specialist at.

 

I also heard he winds his own coils

deaf and dumb is a very old expression and not really pc anymore. not having a go at anyone (esp OP) but i suspect that the guy is deaf (and as a result, can't speak or write). He is definitely no dummy if he can fix EM's and I guess learning SS electronics is pretty hard when the only sense you have is your eyes. chips are after all black boxes and at least you can see whats going on (or not going on) with EM's. good on him :)
