it bloody sucks, in adelaide we hit 45.7 degrees!!!!!!!! SHIT

is that all?

bloody hell i grew up in mt isa and spent a lot of time round there and cloncurry and in the curry it would get to 50 degree's sometimes

few years ago, around 2002 i rode my honda vfr800 round australia via highway number 1. just outside broom in WA it got to 48 degree and the tar on the side of the road was melting and i stopped and took a photo of my rear tyre. the rubber was rolling up in balls.... sort of like when you get a knife and run it along the top of butter and it curls up.... my rubber on the tyre was doing the same. bloody amazing.

when i took the photo i pulled up on a long straight and parked smak bang in the middle of the road. couldnt park on the side as the tar was melting and the side stand would have gone straight thru it

if thats not hot enough for ya, at mount isa mine, or xtrata is now called, they have 24 levels deep in their mineing operation

its about 2.4 kilometers straight down the mine shaft.

at the very botton and at the rock face where the miners are drilling and blasting, the rock face varies between 60 and 70 degrees

they work in teams and work at the face for half hour and then swap teams and drink staminade like there is no tomorrow for half hour while the other team works and then swap. they do this for 12 hours straight.

Time for a window-mounted air conditioner with a temperature-sensetive 'on' switch :D

why???

that cos a $h!tload of moolah

wack one of those spinning jinnies on yer roof that is cyclone rated

we had 2 mounted in side one of the two shed my dad had in the back yard.

the shed that didnt have the spinning jinnies was hotter then a snakes arse in summer time i tell ya

the shed that had 2 spinning jinnie thing-a-ma-bobas was cooler then the house

Luxury!

It was so hot that I put the car in 4WD on the bitumen, didn't have to wind the windows down, they were in pools at the bottem of the door. We were eating hot chillies to cool our mouths down, the trees were whistling for the dogs, the kangaroos were in the trees and lizards were clinging to the exhaust pipe to cool down....but it has been worse...

Driveways!!

All the bitumen driveways evaporated long ago, concrete is just a pile of molten rock.

Boss said if it gets any hotter to take a couple of days off. Thinking of sitting around a volcano in my albatross smugglers (budgie smugglers are too small) just to cool off.
