good SNES games that aren't too pricey?

Recommended Posts

i fixed a workmates SNES on saturday, merely by giving her my spare N64 AV lead. she had the RF thingo and that was playing up. better off without it. those things suck. anyway, because she's cute, i thought i might pick up a game or two for her machine. she has

mario all stars

donkey kong country 2 and 3

earthworm jim

mario kart

im going to get streetfighter II (alpha would be great, but pretty rare and pricey)

any thoughts? emphasis on two player games...

Bugger! You had a spare N64 AV lead? Thats exactly what I needed for my recently aquired SNES.

I'm cute too! :D

hehe. im sure you are! the leads are pretty cheap. i think gamecube uses them too. just about unprecedented that one spare part can be used with 3 generations of consoles...

Except an RF cable :lol

To your original question... have you been reading this thread on flagship titles?. Edit, just checked, yes you have :)

SNES is definitely my all-time favourite console. So many awesome games. (I got myself a GameDoctor Pro, and later a SuperWildCard DX back early in the SNES days, which gave me a library of over 700 games).

Try some of these:

2 Player:

Pocky and Rocky 1 and 2 (KiKiKaiKai 1 and 2 in Japan)

Final Fight 2 and 3

Super Bomberman (4 player)

FIFA Soccer 95 (4 player)

NBA Jam and NBA Jam TE (4 player)

Super Probotector (aka Contra III, or Super Contra)

Secret of Mana (3 player)

The Firemen

Dig and Spike Volleyball

NBA Live 95 (4 player)

Pop 'n' Twinbee: Rainbow Bell Adventures (awesome split screen 2 player platform game)

TMNT IV: Turtles in Time (scrolling beat 'em up)

TMNT Tournament Fighters (surprisingly awesome 1-on-1 fighting game)

Uniracers (aka Unirally)

Zombies Ate My Neighbours

WWF Royal Rumble (no, really)

1 Player (or 2 Player alternating)

Super Metroid

Super Mario World

Zelda 3: A Link to the Past

Axelay

Batman Returns (awesome scrolling beat 'em up)

Cool Spot

Cameltry (aka "On the Ball")

Lemmings

That's a very quick list off the top of my head. I could triple the length given enough time and a complete list of games for the console.

For peripherals (A/V cables, controllers, etc), hit up these guys:

Tech Stuff Trading:

Ben Memphis:

I'm a repeat customer with both of them for a variety of console peripherals.
