spacies
Hey guys, I just bought a new pinny! Pretty excited about this one. Apparently it all works but the ball doesn't spit out to play. I am sure you guys can help me get it working again! Here are some pics: http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL2001/10876724/21209806/347885167.jpg http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL2001/10876724/21209806/347885172.jpg http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL2001/10876724/21209806/347885177.jpg http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL2001/10876724/21209806/347885188.jpg http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL2001/10876724/21209806/347885209.jpg The guy said this is the worst part of the PF. http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL2001/10876724/21209806/347885220.jpg After playing Johns Haunted House (which I really liked) I can't wait to play this one. Fair Dinkum Dan
What do I reckon? I think you already know the answer to that. :D Absolutely awesome, mate. Black Hole is a great System 80 pin. You will have much fun and frustration with this pin. :) Make sure the ground mods are done for better reliability. Also, if the backbox spinning disc motor is the original one and doesn't work, you can get a replacement grainger motor for it. I love the multiball on this machine, one thing that is lacking on Haunted House. The audio, while quite basic, really blends in well with the theme and game play. It truly is a nice looking pin and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine. Congratulations Malcolm. Cheers, Dan
63wizz
Nice pick up spacies. check the fuses. my HH wouldnt kick the ball into the shooter lane, it was a blown fuse. the guy that sold me HH said he had an electrician look at it and would cost $150 to repair, so i bought it non working and it was a fuse blown as mentioned above. cheers Ian. Fair Dinkum Dan
Malcolm, did you had to go and ruin everyone's day now by telling them how much you scored it for? :D :badgrin Once again, top score and good, quick trigger fingers. They didn't catch you sleeping on the hunt. Can't wait for Auckland next March. If the meet is anything like the one that was on earlier this year, it will be totally insane. Jasen (Acejas), you going over again. I'll bring the bourbon this time, mate. :lol Cheers, Dan
spacies
LOL, I couldn't help myself Dan. Ha ha ha. My Mrs gave me $150 for my birthday to use for a game board I wanted from the USA. Instead I will use it towards this. So that means I have to pay $166.52aud. Bahahahahahaaaaa. It was a fluke. Right place, right time.

spacies
Question for ya. Whats the best way to transport this machine? Back box folded down or removed completly?
Fair Dinkum Dan
Question for ya. Whats the best way to transport this machine? Back box folded down or removed completly? Depends how you are transporting the pinball to start with and where it is located and going to. If you can leave the backbox on, great. These System 80's aren't normally hinged to fold down. If there are no stairs, either end of the journey and you are able to carry the machine (they are heavy, mind you) you can leave headbox on and just remove the legs and slide into ute or trailer. A pinball trolley would be good if both places have a flat surface and located on one level. If it is going in a van, then you may have to lower headbox to fit inside, once you have removed the legs also. If you remove the headbox, ensure you take pics and/or mark connectors where the connectors go (eg. J1 - P2), before removing them and dropping them down the back of cabinet. I personally try not to remove connectors and just fold the bacbox when sliding in van and then lift headbox back into position and bolt down again so it is stable while being transported. Are you using a ute or trailer and how many helping, Malcolm? Are there stairs at either place? Also, when sliding into trailer or ute, etc. use a piece of carpet to help slide the machine in and not damage anything. Or, you can use a metal roller, such as a vacuum wand or a timber broom handle as a roller to roll it in with ease. Cheers, Dan
spacies
Thanks Dan. I am arranging transport to get it to me and want to give them intsructions on how to move it. It will be going in a furniture truck. They have been very good with moving my stuff so far. Do you think it will be ok to leave the legs on and they tie it to the sides of the truck wrapped in blankets? Thanks mate.
Fair Dinkum Dan
Furniture truck, you say? :D Too easy. The blokes can carry the machine straight onto the truck and tie it securely to the sides with both the headbox intact and all legs still on. Shouldn't be a problem this way in the truck. Maybe a large, thick sheet of cardboard placed in front of the headbox and playfield to protect the glass, might be an idea, before they throw the blankets over it for added protection.
