My mame driving project

Recommended Posts

This is my Mame project cab

old lemans cab i bought from gibo. So far plan is arcade vga using the original monitor. for controls have hacked a cheapo steering wheel for the pot. The steering uses a pot for steering attached to a huge gearbox. so what ive done is remove the old pot and will replace it with the one out of the cheapo steering wheel i have got from cashies just a matter of taking the cog off and putting on the other :). all other controls will be via a ipac (yet to order). Pedals ive got arcade pedals to install in plus need to get a few more odds and sods (shifter ect)

and final big hurdle is connecting the motor up for spinning

was chatting about a driving project and when this came up in the conversation thought heck i want one.

If DM can do it big so can i :lol

new lead has been installed for the pc. Also extending the power button to be where the old one was. Instrument panel is also wired just needs to be hooked into the 12v line

still working out the motor setup it uses 2 micros to kick the motor but have no idea atm if its run via 240v or 110v so for now wont connect it till i get more info

getting there slowly. will be adding the stepdown next to the chassis shortly

pc does sit properly in there i had it turned for tinkering in the pic found a perfect spot for it and handy as it is next to the service panel
