Lowboy Flouro help

rod71

Question

Just mucking around with my first cab and took the marquee off to find a non working flouro installed.

Looking inside the cab you can see the starter sitting on the bottom of the cab with a 3 pin connector that is not hooked up.

Looking around i found the female connector which is running straight off the transformer. Would this be the right match?. Just wanted to confirm before i plugged them in :lol

There's only 2 wires on the starter side connector, and 3 wires on the transformer side connector.

See pic.

Thanks for any help!!

Check the voltage rating of the ballast. If it's 240V you should be able to plug it straight in, but sometimes op's fitted 110V ballasts. If this is the case, you will need to run it through a step-down. By the way, the ballast should be earthed.

I assumed it had no fluros! Hey I shouldave asked for more $$$

lol

Great to see your enjoying it Rod

:)

"Too cheap sir!" :lol

Yeah loving it mate. Didn't think there was a light in it either, until i took the marquee apart. The tube was looking pretty old and blackened, so went and bought a new tube and starter. Good as gold :)

Just need to get a nice marquee happening now.
