DE Pop bumper Issue

wingtipvortex

Question

Was fooling around with getting some snapped pins from PF today, slight bit of knocking going on. Switched pin back on and now one of the pop bumpers has lost a globe and has almost stopped working. It seems that the top 180 degree arc does not work at all, but the lower half does. The lower half does not get any ball contact of course. I have pushed the edges with a screwdriver and it seems to work only when depressed in the middle, not the edges? Any ideas on what i have done?

Im a "SUPER NOOB" at this, please someone help me...............

You will need to adjust the "leaf switch" that the bumper skirt activates when the ball hits it.

From under the playfield, find the pop bumper bracket, and locate the leaf switch on the assembly - it will have a plastic part that looks like a small bowl sitting on top of the leaf contacts, and a plastic rod sitting just above it in the same colour as the pop bumper skirt.

Adjust the leaf switch contacts so that they are about 1mm apart. Play a few games and make sure that the bumper still works. You may need to adjust it a few times to get it right.
