370parsons
played Simpson's pinball party last night for first time i have not played many of the stern pinnies, could of just been this one it did appear to be new (intencity at Marion Adelaide) it just seamed very clunky have only played pinnies form the 90's but they feel much smoother and next to each other if someone had never seen a pinnie before (what an unhappy life this person must live ) i would think they would sat the older machines were the newer .....or i could just be full of shit :) what are peoples thoughts

pinnies4me
The first game of the modern Sterns that started to get a less clunky feel IMO was Grand Prix (although not a very good game). FG has no clunk at all to me - it feels every bit as smooth as the mid-90's Williams games to me.

radirgyman
Crap cheaply. I know quite allot of others that feel the same about Sterns new pins. Something just aint right about them. You cannot compare Stern with Williams/Bally NEVA. I played Batman.. To be honest found it VERY boring.

Strangeways
80 sterns were excellent... I want one Now that's worth talking about ! The EARLY SS Sterns were not that great Later SS Sterns are soooo underrated (Galaxy, Meteor, Catacomb, Flight2000, Seawitch, Stargazer, Nineball).... Stern DMDs ore OK. fte
I think that a lot of people can't see past the preconceptions that modern Sterns are of poor quality and end up missing out on the great gameplay and software that presents itself in some of their recent games. Play each game on it's merit - regardless of who makes it. TSPP, LOTR and Family Guy are some of the best games out there.;)

PeterW
TSPP has to be in the top ten DMD pinball ever made Yes, 100% agree. In my opinion The Simpsons is about the best theme a pinball machine could have. :)

boxingkoala
I personally don't give a rats who made the game, its the gameplay, artwork, sound etc that determines if i like it. Whether its capcom, gottlieb, williams, bally, DE stern etc, i really don't care, they all have made good and bad games, and yes, williams had a golden era no doubt about it, but there are some damn good EM games that are spread amongst past makers. if i had the doe, i would be buying a stern batman with no hesitations what so ever:D
PeterW
Yep, and I'm also glad that there is still one company manufacturing pinballs.
