Anybody in Brisbane having trouble with their Virgin Broadband?

We got it back in April and for the first month it was quite good. Since then it has become virtually unuseable. I have spoken to other people at work and they are having problems. It appears to be all over Brisbane. We wouldn't mind if it was just the internet but it sucks not even to be able to use your phone.

MATE GET RID OF IT!!!!!!!

 

Same deal i had it for a month in January and it was quite good and from feb until i disconnected 4 weeks ago it was nothing short of shit house in the way of slower than dial up,didnt work at times,Couldnt be on phone and internet at the same time and a host of different issues at different times.

 

Not just Brisbane,Its all over Australia....Just look up Virgin Broadband threads on Google and you will be amazed at the ammount of people complaining.

 

I am back at Telstra and got my Exit fees of $285 from VB reversed as i proved the had a service that was misleading and not up to the standard of what i was paying which is for a service that did not work!!

 

2 words, ring virgin

The average call waiting time is anywhere between 55 Mins to 80 Mins,NOT GOOD SERVICE in anyones language:rolleyes

Thats why we resorted to emailing them which is useless. It is not worth trying to ring them when a call could last for 4 seconds to 5 minutes before dropping out. What chance do we have to talk to them when the waiting time is that long.:x

Even our friends have stopped calling us because they know they can't even have a conversation with us.

I would just like them to sort it out. It is a pretty good deal. Why was it good one day then turned to crap the next? What did they change? Probably trying to save some money so they have probably downgraded something.

It is owned by Optus now as well :unsure

Mate GOOD LUCK thats all i can say,I tried in vain with them to get it back to my 1st months very good performance and after 8 phone calls to technical support and waiting 55 mins on avg per call it improved nothing hence why i demanded to be released from my contract with no termination fees.

I was prepared to fight it in court as its criminal to charge early termination fees for a service they cant supply,INFACT they even admitted to me that the overwhelming response they had was way more than expected and there servers cant even handle the ammount of traffic/customers they have but are trying to improve it....YEAH RIGHT!

 

Mate the facts are i went with it as $60 for home phone and broadband together is extremely cheap BUT its no good if it doesnt work and cause you grief.

I am now paying double that but have a connection on both home phone and broadband internet that is 100% 24/7......I will never fall for a cheaper alternative again after all the hassles with VB!!:rolleyes
