VGA Monitor going to sleep

mozzie

Question

I have a 48 in 1 board with all dipswitch settings correct as per Manual but my LCD monitor says "Monitor going to sleep". Can anybody help?

After setting it on the PC do monitors have firmware inside that sends them to sleep after so much time even when the PC is disconnected. By the way it goes to sleep immediately after switching it on.

Thanks

VGA Monitor goes to sleep

I am possitive as the manual says the PCB dipswitch number 2 set to on which it is. I know in the past with the 1066 in 1 redbox the monitor says out of range so I am fxxed if I know. I have been waiting forever to get it all going and I finally power it up and this shit happens. I thought I would blow it up when I wired the mains in thinking I may have wired it up incorrectly so this one was quite unexpected.

yeah. leave the mains alone... only work with low voltage stuff (computer psu etc).

monitors dont usually have "firmware". They dont show anything when there is nothing to show? also the monitor migh be broken. And make sure you set the monitor to the correct input as some these days have like 6
