GEMINI
Hi all thought i should share my progress finally of my mame cab i was going to use Lusids plans , but i ended up going for the compact lowboy design,(can wheel it out to the entertaining area when i need to ) Still far from finished but i slapped it together so it was ready for xmas now i can;t stop playing it I had an incomplete coin mech for looks (i wired a micro switch to the coin reject button , so when you press the coin reject button it coins up) Still have to: Paint (just undercoat at this stage) and i am painting it white Redo the monitor surround (i have a router now:D) install monitor perspex install usb connections install pinball flippers put an overlay of some type on the cp think about side art? have the maquee printed (just a home print job atm) Ps thats mum and my prego sister having a go
what_the
Looks great so far. Love the Marquee art. Something different. I love these lowboys. much better for the space concious. I have a 26" LAI upright which I am considering giving the boot to replace with one of these simply for that reason. Which plans did you use for your lowboy? Are you going to finish off with t-molding?

Are you going to finish off with t-molding? I got a set of plans off BYOAC and modified them ever so slightly The marqee art is from around the net somewhere (tried and tried to make my own but liked this one too much it has a carbon fibre background) I am going to T-Mould it in white (have a router but no slotcutter yet i think this is half the hold up)
AdamC
Looking good. :) But you have made one mistake ... not pulling it apart straight after xmas and finishing it off! The temptation is too strong to keep playing on it. :badgrin Took me a while to finish my control panel cause i was using an old Ozstick joystick for a while. How is it playing with 2 ppl on one of those? Bit squishy ?
GEMINI
it seems to be quite good (not as much room as bigger designs but still playable :) and if the other person thrashes you at streetfighter they are still close nough for a good old fashioned shoulder barge :evil

GEMINI
Yeah Bit quiet on the cab front I have yet to put a lock on the door and bits n pieces still have to print the marquee on a single peice of paper(the perspex still has protective coat on) I used some Sign makers coreflute for the bezel(fucked it up totally) but i am convinced that coreflute makes good bezel still a bit rough around the edges but i am happy will just leave it for some time and do more around the house and on the gardens ETC ETC if i ever finish it i will put some side art on it rotate ya necks ya lazy so n sos:lol

MetalSkin
they are Jaycar Jobbieshttp://www.jaycar.com.au/products_uploaded/product_8846.jpg How did you find the buttons? I've seen em at the Underwood and Gabba Jaycars, but in both cases i noticed that the button surface looked scratchy or chipped (or both) which kinda turned me off buying em.
