Freight Company To Transport Pin From Melbourne To Adelaide?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am thinking of buying a pin from a private seller in Melbourne. Does anybody know of any freight companies that will wrap it up and put it on a pallet and transport it to Adelaide and an approximate cost? If no freight comapnies do the wrapping and palleting what do people usualy get done/contact when they buy a pin interstate??

Thanks

Sean

Just received a quote from RTS to ship a machine from Wollongong to Bribie Island (just north of Brisbane) - Quote $420.75. This is simply pickup and drop off.

Would be almost cheaper to fly to Sydney ($99) hire a ute / van for 2 days ($140) pay one way surcharge ($80) and Petrol ($150) - well not quite but close and I would have it on the weekend.

Still looking

Oh and I am not looking for a '72 Grand Slam anymore ;-)

Wollongong to RTS depot in Brisbane should not cost any more than $200.00. You drive down from Bribie and pick it up. 2 hours out of your day and $20 in fuel. I got a pin shipped from Wollongong for to BNE for $250, and they are a lot more awkward and bigger than an upright..

Sadly the commodore wont take the Pinball and everybody I know has had a mid life crisis and drive "sports" cars. Though I can hire a ute for $50 on Bribe and as you say spend $20 in fuel. I drive in every day and the depot is on the way so to speak so not a big issue .....

Thanks

Edit Just Googled and of course Acia Ridge is south side but close enough. They are requoting...

OK here you go Wollongong to Brisbane Depot, call Nightingale Transport, speak to Glenn Nightingale 0414 424 230. Under $200. :D

Thanks for the contact

Spoke to Glenn - not able to help as only has flat top semi's.

  • 2 weeks later...

Ended Up using Lynn Removals from Ulladulla 1300 139 336 (recommended by the local removalist on Bribie)

Cost was $330 all inclusive Wollongong (pickup from seller) to Bruce Highway at Caboolture (extra $100 to divert to Bribie - ute cost $50). Took 24 hours from pick-up to drop off.

Not really Pin savy people but once instructed by Tony at pickup the unit was delivered without any damage.
