wolfy
Hi guys, just after a few opinions/experiences regarding moving my pins. I am moving house (about 800 kms). I have a removalist with a semi-trailer organised to shift my houshold in mid January. I will be putting my 4 pins in the truck with everything else, but I am thinking of leaving the legs on. Good or bad idea? What would you guys do to protect them? Obviously they will be carefully wrapped with blankets/packing etc. They will be manually shifted, (no forklifts or lifters). I'm afraid if I take the legs off they will be more prone to damage while handling. I may not be on hand to supervise the loading/unloading. Any hints / tips? What about building some sort of simple crate for each pin? Thanx Wolfy

Super Moderator GIBO Posted December 23, 2007 Super Moderator Share Posted December 23, 2007 I would suggest legs off, fold the head box down with a towel between it and the cab then use a strap to hold it to the cab ,remove the balls and then stand the pin up on its back find some cardboard to protect the corners then wrap them up in a blanket, this way they can be moved by one person with a sack trolley and take up less room in the truck
